These four guys all come from a small town called Salo. There between the Nokia factories, empty supermarkets and depressing karaoke-bars they have tried to find a way out by playing the music they love. Their wide range of influences and the four very different individuals in the band have helped them to create an identifiable sound of their own. Mixing rage, catchy choruses, melancholy and well-thought-off socially conscious lyrics.
No Shame has already toured in almost every European country and played several hundred shows in squats, clubs and major festivals. So far No Shame has released five full-lenght albums (including a double CD!) and bunch of EP`s.

No Shame Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
or apologize for being right.
I'll cross that line of courtesy
coz "Hey, hello how are you? I'm feeling fine"s
and all that shit just takes a lifetime.
I play my part like a clown.
Still I wear my pride just like a crown.
where love, hate and jealousy cut like a knife
and the scars stay for a lifetime
So let me live a while before I'm dead.
Ain't got a lifetime to wait... Let me live a while before I'm dead.
I won't sell my life for a dime
or apologize for being right.
Universal play of human life
where love, hate and jealousy cut like a knife
and the scars stay for a lifetime
So let me live a while before I'm dead.
The lyrics to No Shame's song "Play" reflect the singer's determination to live life on his own terms and not compromise his principles for the sake of superficial interactions with others. The opening line, "I won't sell my life for a dime," expresses a refusal to engage in any activity that doesn't align with his values, implying that he values authenticity and integrity above all else. The following line, "or apologize for being right," further underscores this point, suggesting that he won't back down from his beliefs even if it means going against what others might view as "polite" or "acceptable" behavior.
The second verse, with the lines "I play my part like a clown / Still I wear my pride just like a crown," suggests a certain amount of self-awareness and self-acceptance. The singer recognizes that, even though he may feel like he's going through the motions and performing for others, he still values himself and his own worth. The song's repeated theme of the "universal play of human life, where love, hate and jealousy cut like a knife" is a powerful reminder that life can be both beautiful and brutal, and that scars from past experiences can stay with us forever.
Ultimately, the singer is asking for the opportunity to live life on his own terms for a little while longer, pleading, "So let me live a while before I'm dead." It's a powerful message of self-determination and a reminder to appreciate the preciousness of life while we still have it.
