I love the Piano Opera version of this so much! Great job man!
Lanki
Nice performance! I bought the book as well (online). They're fairly easy to find, they only ship from Japan though. Have you tried the piano collection books as well? In general those arrangements are a little bit easier than the piano opera books, but still very original.
OstilMusic
Thanks! Yeah I've always wanted to buy these kinds of books online but with the shipping it's pretty expensive. I didn't manage to snag the blue book of this series since it wasn't in stock where I went but I'm hoping to get it. Maybe I'll just take the hit and buy it online haha. But I'll probably be back in Japan sometime in 2015 haha. I definitely have played a bunch from the various piano collections. They're great! I had learned a ton a long time ago before I had started a YouTube channel. I should revisit some of them. I did buy my brother the FF7 collections in Japan as well. I'll link his channel later (on mobile right now), he's uploaded a few collection songs. They're great arrangements but there's something about the Piano Opera arrangements that makes it very special. I'm planning on recording "Searching for Friends" in the upcoming weeks hopefully. :D

Simply beautiful!

I'm looking forward to see you play 'Searching for Friends'. Also a favourite of mine, because of the interesting tempo change in the middle and the emotional F and G section. And I'm especially curious about the way you solved the right hand part in the A section :) Those small, fast jumps seem impossible at first try...
OstilMusic
I just uploaded it about a half hour ago haha, go check it out! It was super fun to play. The A section wasn't too hard once you've got it memorized haha. Just gotta rely on that muscle memory and pray you hit the right notes. The hardest part was getting the runs down in the very beginning. The two hands are super crowded during those runs so it's pretty easy to mess it up. Hope you like it, let me know what you think! :D

Let me tell you how you have impacted the life of a couple of strangers:
My wife and I just celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary a couple of days ago. We were married on a very bright and warm Florida beach, surrounded by all of our closest friends and family, professing our love for and vows to each other. My wife was delivered down the "sandy aisle" by her father to the tune that YOU played (this song) being broadcast amongst our group of 125 people. The culmination of seeing my wife's beauty, being in the presence of our loved ones, and listening to your performance brought me to tears.
I believe so strongly in the concept of "You're Not Alone" that I had a colored bracelet made for each guest, with the words "You're Not Alone" embroidered on them. Your performance of this piece is immaculate and it encouraged me to learn it too. I practiced all last summer and finally my fingers remember the notes. Thank you for recording and posting here. What a beautiful piece!
You played a very important role in our union and I just thought you should know. In our world of such interconnectedness, it's ironically easy to forget that you're not alone. But it's true. Each of us is never alone, no matter how alone we may feel. There is always someone out there willing to lend a hand, a shoulder, a piece of advice. May your music continue to move others to tears and to peace. Be well and remember: you're not alone :-)
