Considered to be one of Australia's more successful rock bands of the late 1980s, their self-titled debut in 1987 had a series of successful singles, such as "No Lies," "Take Me Back," and "Welcome to the World." The band's second album, 1989's Touch, proved to be less successful commercially. Noiseworks disbanded in 1992, shortly after the release of the group's third album, Love Versus Money (1991).
Stevens has forged a successful solo career since Noiseworks with the albums Circle and Ain't No Life For The Faint Hearted. He went on to become the lead singer of INXS, but left after when he became frustrated with the band's lack of progress in generating new material.
2012 - The Band are in the studio recording a new album and touring later this year!

I like to imagine that, when writing “Hot Chilli Woman”, Jon Stevens found a book titled How To Write A Cock Rock Anthem The Easy Way and flicked straight to the page on Horny Food-Related Cliches.

If someone told me that the whole song comprised of nothing but stolen Brian Johnson-era AC/DC lyrics I would totally believe them.
But if nothing else “Hot Chilli Woman” was a good audition for lead singer Jon Stevens, next career move; playing Judas Iscariot in the all-star Australian production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
And this video, with the unbuttoned shirt and all, was likely what gave him the job of fronting INXS for a couple of years in the early 2000s.

I adore Noiseworks!! I'm 21 and my mum has been playing me their music since before I was born. I have gone to so many of their concerts and also majority of Jon's solo gigs. I am so surprised that so many still don't know these guys exist. They are missing out on pure talent and proper Aussie rock legends!

I'm a huge fan of this album. Totally unknowns in Italy, I've found this CD in a 1€ basket at the supermarket a couple of decades ago I think. It was love at first sight. I then lost the CD and had to buy it again on eBay. This band deserved more success.
