Considered to be one of Australia's more successful rock bands of the late 1980s, their self-titled debut in 1987 had a series of successful singles, such as "No Lies," "Take Me Back," and "Welcome to the World." The band's second album, 1989's Touch, proved to be less successful commercially. Noiseworks disbanded in 1992, shortly after the release of the group's third album, Love Versus Money (1991).
Stevens has forged a successful solo career since Noiseworks with the albums Circle and Ain't No Life For The Faint Hearted. He went on to become the lead singer of INXS, but left after when he became frustrated with the band's lack of progress in generating new material.
2012 - The Band are in the studio recording a new album and touring later this year!

You let it end, with no shame
Anger inside, I watched you fade away
Now you're gone away
In silence evermore
Something we all will learn
Peace, it will be
In this world
When your time has come (when your time has come)
You face all your fears, you stand alone
Thereβ²s a place in my heart
I will never forget you
Unassuming in your ways, you inspired
But you gave it everything you had
So brave, so strong
Oh, yeah you fought it
You just wouldn't let it bring you down
So my friend I, say goodbye now
And until we meet again
Rest in peace, rest in peace
In this world
When your time has come (when your time has come)
You face all your fears (you face all your fears)
You stand alone
I believe (I believe in)
In the kingdom of love (in the kingdom of love)
Love (of love)
Oh Millie, I say goodbye to you my friend
Millie, Uh-uh, yeah until we meet again
Rest in peace, rest in peace, rest in peace
In this world (in this world)
When your time has come (when your time has come)
You face all your fears (face all your fears)
You stand alone
I believe (I believe, yes I do)
In the kingdom of love (the kingdom of love)
Love (love)
Millie
Goodbye, goodbye
The lyrics of Noiseworks' song R.I.P. seem to be a tribute to a friend or a loved one who has passed away. The opening lines suggest that the person suffered silently and ultimately succumbed to their struggles, without being able to ask for help or support. The singer acknowledges the person's bravery and strength in fighting through whatever it was that they were dealing with, but ultimately says goodbye and wishes them peace in the afterlife.
The chorus seems to express a belief in the idea that after death, we face our fears alone, but that there is a kingdom of love waiting for us. This might refer to a spiritual afterlife, or simply the idea that the love and memories we create in life remain with us even after we die.
The use of the name "Millie" in the final verse suggests that this song may have been written specifically about an individual named Millie who passed away. However, it's also possible that the name is a metaphor or placeholder for a loved one who has gone.
Overall, the lyrics of R.I.P. capture the sorrow and loss that comes with saying goodbye to someone we care about, but also offer a glimmer of hope and comfort in the belief that they are at peace.

This song always makes me cry, I have two friends terminal with cancer, sometimes life can really suck with the cards you are dealt,. I was like lucky I dodged a bullet with being diagnosed myself.
What I am saying is live life to the fullest and love like it's your last day on earth.
