Can't believe it's been 12 years already! I was only 3 when I first heard this, I was with my dad when we found out about this channel, this was the first ever UKF upload I've ever heard, I remember it only being a few hours old, I absolutely loved this, and I ended up listening to new UKF uploads up until the end of 2013 when I was 7. I'm glad to have this channel as memories when I was little, I'm 15 now.

I can't imagine listening to one of these bangers just a few hours after their release. Only really started diving into UKF uploads in late 2020, especially their older stuff, and boy have I been mesmerised. But I've been listening on DubstepGutter all the way back in 2015, which is something I guess.
I'm 16 btw

I have to agree. Its so weird looking back and realizing that '08-'12 were pretty much the golden years of dubstep, and even that's a little generous. I had no idea the personal and cultural significance of what I was experiencing. It was just quirky, cool music to me; something new and exotic that grabbed my soul and made me pay attention. It was so cool being into this music and living through it's evolution from it's dark, empty origins into the huge fractal expansion that it became, it's break into mainstream music. Watching it move from 240p videos on YouTube with 150 views and Soundcloud artists with such a small audience that you could literally drop them a line and have a conversation with them, into UKF, and then later albums by Taylor Swift and Rihanna, and finally giving way to trap and other derivatives was something I'll probably never have the involvement to observe again in other music. I guess this will be for me what classic rock and punk were to my elders haha. Grateful for the experience

Kyle Stafford To be fair, it isn't as good. 08-09 was the highlight in my opinion. Everything these days is too skrillex/transformers having sex'ish.

Every video, there's always a 'oh back when dubstep wasn't shit'. Dude, you are totally denying the huge influence of dubstep today? Millions look upto 'today's' dusbtep just like you did then, so just a flat out statement that dubstep used to be good, shows a lack of appreciation for the genre's evolution.
