Members and alumni come from all four undergraduate schools at the University: Columbia College, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of General Studies, and Barnard College. Founded in 2000 and originally conceived as an all-male group specializing in alternative rock, Nonseq (as it’s popularly known) quickly grew to include all genders and genres. "Non sequitur" is Latin for "it does not follow"; living up to their name, Nonsequitur performs a wide repertoire of songs spanning many genres, including pop, rock, soul, jazz, and R&B.

Just another ploy to destroy the family or marriage. It’s ridiculous.
Government Shill
He didn’t say what you claimed. He said a list of things ending in, “she claimed to be her husbands property .”
So… yea

I took it as him (if inarticulately) trying to describe covenant headship of the husband, as signified by taking his name and the father giving her to him as a symbol of the passing of that family headship role.
‘Property’ seemed to be his way of signifying a degree of authority - perhaps overemphasized as a counter to the ubiquitous philosophy of absolute egalitarian equality.

@Amanda Well said! I think he really needs to take more care when speaking, because he is often intellectually and morally inconsistent. He is certainly not an effective rhetorician. I'm not convinced he actually wants to teach people anything or even believes his own words, but rather wants to say provocative things in order to gain traction on the internet and in doing so, make more money. I'm 99% convinced it's a gimmick. Otherwise he is a bigger fool than I thought

@Amanda
I’m with Pastor Douglas Wilson on this; regarding the whole ‘red pill movement’ (and he said something similar about JBP’s ‘Message to the Christian Churches’), he said that there are some very worldly people who are espousing some common grace wisdom that most in the culture and even many in the church have forgotten, and while we must, of course, reject the worldliness in which they apply these common grace truths, we must not reject the truths themselves, but should ask ourselves how so many of us managed on these points to fall behind such worldly people, and instead of only opposing them we should take advantage of these truths to expand their understanding even further.
Going from memory, but I believe that was at least roughly his message.
From what I have heard of Tate (not really a follower), he definitely has serious moral problems (e.g. running an OF company and lots of fornication) - I’m just trying to clarify points so we can support where he’s right and oppose where he’s wrong.
I do agree, though, that he is probably currently a significant net negative given those faults.

Then he needs some major education and help. He's not intelligent enough to communicate that idea effectively.
Tate is an idiot that hits a few correct points every once in a while and is contributing to the degradation to society.

“Mrs” literally means Mr’s. The apostrophe denoting “belongs to.”
