Come Away with Me
Norah Jones Lyrics
Come away with me in the night
Come away with me
And I will write you a song
Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can't tempt us with their lies
And I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
Come away with me and we'll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I'll never stop loving you
And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

Come away with me
And I will write you a song
Come away with me on a bus
Come away where they can't tempt us, with their lies
And I want to walk with you
On a cloudy day
In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high
So won't you try to come
Come away with me and we'll kiss
On a mountaintop
Come away with me
And I'll never stop loving you
And I want to wake up with the rain
Falling on a tin roof
While I'm safe there in your arms
So all I ask is for you
To come away with me in the night
Come away with me

It took a longtime,
To find the real and deep reason I so love this song.
My mother, was a mean abusive, neglecting person. A alcoholic with bipolar disorder. The treatment for that in the 60's were very severe....
The few times, my mother would be a mom. She would sound like Norah. And the words fit her.......
So many bad things in our lives, can hold us down.
Finding the good, and letting go of the bad. Helps to raise above them.
Thank You Norah Jones,
For helping.....
With the healing.

My husband and I danced to this in our kitchen. I was 12 weeks pregnant. So many emotions.

I also used to hear this álbum when i was pregnant, in the Last weeks and it relaxed me so much... I remember about cleaning a plant's dust, very slowly, a few days before my baby boy was born. 16 years already! How time flyes🌺

I listened to this song every night when I was deployed to Afghanistan. It got me through missing everyone I loved.
