And I can't hide beneath my sheets
I've read the words before so now I know
The time has come again for me
And I'm feelin' the same way all over again
Feelin' the same way all over again
Singin' the same lines all over again
Another day that I can't find my head
My feet don't look like they're my own
I'll try and find the floor below to stand
And I hope I reach it once again
And I'm feelin' the same way all over again
Feelin' the same way all over again
Singin' the same lines all over again
No matter how much I pretend
Oh, yeah, oh, yeah
So many times I wonder where I've gone
And how I found my way back in
I look around awhile for something lost
Maybe I'll find it in the end
And I'm feelin' the same way all over again
Feelin' the same way all over again
Singin' the same lines all over again
No matter how much I pretend
Feelin' the same way all over again
Feelin' the same way all over again
Singin' the same lines all over again
No matter how much I pretend
No matter how much I pretend, ah, ah
The lyrics of Norah Jones's song Feelin' in the Same Way depict the feelings of someone who is stuck in a routine and can't seem to break free from it. The opening lines of the song, "The sun just slipped its note below my door, And I can't hide beneath my sheets" suggest that the singer is waking up to another day and can't ignore the fact that they need to face it. As the song progresses, the singer describes the feeling of being trapped in the same cycle of daily life, "Feelin' the same way all over again, Singin' the same lines all over again". Despite their attempts to pretend that everything is okay, the singer can't shake off the feeling of being stuck.
Jones's lyrics provide a relatable experience for many individuals who feel trapped in their routines and can't seem to break free from their daily grind. The song is a reminder that sometimes, we need to make a conscious effort to break free from our habits and explore new experiences. The singer's yearning for something lost at the end of the song represents the desire to find something new in their life.

on The Nearness of You
The Nearness Of You - Camille Thurman -Lyrics
Its not the pale moon that excites me
That thrills and delights me, oh no
Its just the nearness of you
It isn't your sweet conversation
That brings this sensation, oh no
Its just the nearness of you
When you're in my arms
And I feel you so close to me
All my wildest dreams do come true
I need no soft lights to enchant me
If you'll only grant me
The right to hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night
The nearness of you
Saxophone Musical Interlude
I need no soft lights to enchant me
If you'll only grant me
The right to hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night
The nearness, the nearness of you
