I'm not the one, oh, you can ignore
I'm not like those you had before
Oh, hell no
I'm not a toy just here for fun
I won't be tossed aside and down
I'm not the one, I'm not the one
Oh, hey you
I'm not the one you can refuse
I'm not your plaything, I'm not your muse
Oh, hey you
Get over here, oh
If you should ruin what I've become
You'll be sorry that you thought I was the one
I'm on fire, I'm on fire
Take me higher, I'm on fire
Oh, hey you
Get out of here, oh
I'm not the one to go insane
Said, I'm amazed
Oh, come and tell me that you know you do
Get out of here
Oh, I'm not the one you can dismiss
I'm here forever, I found my bliss, oh
I'm on fire, I'm on fire, oh
I'm on fire, I'm on fire, oh
Just a little bit, just a little bit, just a little bit
Oh, hey you
Get over here, oh
(I'm on fire) just a little bit
(I'm on fire) just a little bit
(I'm on fire) just a little bit
(I'm on fire)
Oh, I'm on fire, I'm on fire
Take me higher, take me higher, oh
I'm on fire, I'm on fire
I'm on fire, I'm on fire
The lyrics of Norah Jones's song "Just A Little Bit" convey a sense of self-awareness and strength. The singer establishes that she is not someone to be ignored or taken lightly. She distances herself from the past experiences of love and relationships, asserting that she is not a toy or a plaything. The phrase "I won't be tossed aside and down" reflects her determination to not be treated as disposable or insignificant.
In the chorus, she expresses her passion and desire to be taken to a higher level. The repetition of the phrase "I'm on fire" signifies her intense emotions and eagerness for a deeper connection. She demands attention and calls out to someone, challenging them to acknowledge her worth and not underestimate her. The line "You'll be sorry that you thought I was the one" implies that she will not tolerate being underestimated and will prove her worth if given the chance.
The second verse continues her assertive stance, urging the person to leave if they don't recognize her value and stating that she is not one to lose control or lose herself in a relationship. She emphasizes her resilience and confidence, declaring that she has found her bliss and intends to hold onto it.
Overall, "Just A Little Bit" portrays a strong and self-assured persona who refuses to settle for anything less than she deserves. The lyrics reflect a sense of empowerment and determination to be recognized and valued for her true worth.

A hand to touch
An eye to peruse
A voice to listen to
A bloom of cheek
A neck to brush lips
A mane to breathe in
A shoulder to caress
A body to undress
A sensitive to tickle
A breast to nuzzle
An essence to taste
A hidden gate entered
A sigh to hear
An arched back
A gush to anticipate
A soft murmuring
A kiss of surrender
Tho not present before
The forbidden absence
More treasure than ever
Can you hear me?

She's criminally underrated and underappreciated. How come the majority of people forgot about her after the early 2000s?

I love this music direction Norah Jones is going. It’s innovative and transformative of the genre. I want a 13-ish + tracks of this. An album pls!!!

I beg to differ :/ As interesting as all the little instrumental details may sound, it's a tad inaccessible and shapeless, like abstract jazz.
