Seven Years
Norah Jones Lyrics

Spinning, laughing, dancing to
Her favorite song
A little girl with nothing wrong
Is all alone

Eyes wide open
Always hoping for the sun
And she'll sing her song to anyone
That comes along
Fragile as a leaf in autumn
Just fallin' to the ground
Without a sound

Crooked little smile on her face
Tells a tale of grace
That's all her own

Fragile as a leaf in autumn
Just fallin' to the ground
Without a sound

Spinning, laughing, dancing to her
Favorite song
Well, she's a little girl with nothing wrong
And she's all alone
A little girl with nothing wrong
And she's all alone

I think this song was written about me and my childhood and even into adulthood. A little girl with nothing wrong,is all alone...That was me as a child...but really, everything was wrong, I just was spinnin laughing dancing to my favorite song, so everyone would THINK nothing was wrong......But I came through with a lot of grace.

My mom and dad gave me and my brothers songs when we were born, and they were deciding between this or, isn't she lovely. They chose this song and I think it's perfect and portrays me perfectly, even now that I'm not so little anymore

He's a little boy with nothing wrong and he's all alone... Well, flowers, trees, animals and nature, and above all, sound, music, accompany me. But with most of that being besieged and destroyed, part of me is being destroyed daily, still, after all these years.
This song by Norah, is a gem, though, and comforting.
