Luces

The lyrics in Norte's song "Luces" paint the picture of someone looking for something that they know deep down will never happen. They have a sense of hopelessness, knowing that their search will ultimately lead to their destruction. The first stanza says it all: "Vivir y esperar / Algo que nunca va a pasar / Y destruirnos" (To live and wait for something that will never happen / And destroy ourselves).

The following lines show the person searching for themselves in someone else's heart, hoping to find confirmation that they are okay. They are trying desperately to find this person in a crowded room, but keep getting lost in the sea of people. They cannot receive the "Luces" (lights) coming from this person's mouth as they speak, which could symbolize their inability to hear or understand what they are saying.

The chorus repeats the phrase "No quiero resistirme" (I don't want to resist) several times, perhaps indicating that the person is trying to let go of their feelings and move on, but they are struggling to do so. They long to be taken out of the place they are in, which is described as "lleno de almas muertas" (full of dead souls). The last stanza reveals that the only thing that has changed is the heart of the person they were searching for.
