The group is not an ordinary band, but a league of four vocalists, who are all frontmen of successful heavy metal bands. They wanted to create something special together and came up with an idea of arranging 80's classics to metal versions - sung by all the four together.
The tracks from their current album, "Reborn", include legendary pieces such as "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" by Cutting Crew, "Take On Me" by A-ha, "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey, "Wanted Dead Or Alive" by Bon Jovi, "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, "In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits and "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel.
Song arrangements by Aleksi Parviainen except "I Just Died In Yours Arms Tonight" and "Don't Bring Me Down" by J.Ahola and "Brothers In Arms" by Mikko P. Mustonen.
Creep
Northern Kings Lyrics

Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so very special
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so very special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
She's running out again
She's running
She run, run, run, run, run
Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so very special
I wish I was special
But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here
In Northern Kings's song "Creep," the lyrics reveal the thoughts and feelings of someone who feels insecure about themselves and unworthy of the person they're admiring. The opening lines describe the singer's inability to sustain eye contact with their crush or love interest, suggesting they may lack confidence or feel ashamed in the presence of this person. Despite this, the singer sees their crush as "an angel" who is beautiful and special. The line "your skin makes me cry" suggests a deep emotional response to this person, perhaps related to their beauty but also underscoring the intensity of the singer's feelings.
The chorus then drives home the singer's insecurity with the repeated line "But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo / What the hell am I doing here? / I don't belong here." The singer feels like an outsider and questions why they are in the presence of someone so special; they don't feel like they deserve to be there. The use of the words "creep" and "weirdo" adds to this sense of self-loathing, suggesting the singer sees themselves as abnormal or inadequate.
Later in the song, the lyrics reveal a desire for control, for a "perfect body" and a "perfect soul." The singer is consumed by the need for the object of their affection to notice them when they are not around, and their self-doubt and insecurity are palpable throughout. The final lines suggest a resignation or acceptance of their situation, with the repeated "I don't belong here" serving as a melancholic reminder of their feelings of unworthiness.
Overall, Northern Kings's "Creep" is a poignant and powerful song about the pain of unrequited love and the destructive nature of self-doubt and insecurity. The lyrics capture the intense emotions that can accompany infatuation, while also exploring the darker, more damaging side of those emotions.

I know... I had only heard of Nightwish... but now I prefer this! Not that Nightwish is bad, but I was a Tarja fan and I like how this band shows many different styles of metal when they take on many different songs. I like the way that they have ideas about songs than many others would... :D

This Creep-Version finally shows the distorted mind, which is portrait in the creepy words of the song. I like the used dissonances even more than the strictly bassy style, flowing throughout the whole song. I sounds epic, thank you, Northern Kings! For those of you, who would like to know another "different" version of Creep, listen to Richard Cheese' approach: /watch?v=gUUj4BjY-VM&feature=fvst

I love Radiohead's, but this one has a gritty, eerie edge, love it too.

I actually like this version of the song much better than the original, but all of Northern Kings' songs are so different from the originals that you can barely reckognise them. I just feel that when the song is called creep, it fits really good with the creepy music at the very beginning, and JP's deep voice singing it. Also, I'm not so fond of quiet songs, and I just feel that this version of the song is so much more powerful. Anyway, that's just my opinion, and no one has to agree with me.
