The group is not an ordinary band, but a league of four vocalists, who are all frontmen of successful heavy metal bands. They wanted to create something special together and came up with an idea of arranging 80's classics to metal versions - sung by all the four together.
The tracks from their current album, "Reborn", include legendary pieces such as "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" by Cutting Crew, "Take On Me" by A-ha, "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey, "Wanted Dead Or Alive" by Bon Jovi, "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, "In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straits and "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel.
Song arrangements by Aleksi Parviainen except "I Just Died In Yours Arms Tonight" and "Don't Bring Me Down" by J.Ahola and "Brothers In Arms" by Mikko P. Mustonen.
Take On Me
Northern Kings Lyrics

I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for you love O.K.
Take on me (take on me)
I'll be gone
in a day or two
So needless to say
I'm odds and ends but that's me,
stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is O.K.
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry.
Take on me (take on me)
Take me on (take on me)
I'll be gone
in a day or two.
The things that you say
Is it live or just to play
My worries away
You're all the things I've got to remember
(You) shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway
Take on me...
Take me on!
I'll be gone
in a day or two,
day or two!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on!
take me on...
The lyrics to Northern Kings's song "Take On Me" describe a conversation between two people, one of whom is hesitant to pursue a relationship while the other is eager to take it to the next level. The singer begins by admitting that they don't know what to say, but they're going to try anyway because they want to find the other person. They reassure their love interest that they will be coming for them, even if they're currently shying away.
The chorus of the song, which consists of the repetitive phrase "take on me", seems to represent the singer urging their love interest to take a chance on them. They promise to be "gone in a day or two", perhaps indicating that they won't become a burden or overstay their welcome if things don't work out.
