After two demo tapes and few gigs the band made a record deal with a Singaporean label on summer 1999. The debut album was recorded
during the very same fall at Astia-studio. The album was eventually left unreleased, because the label went bankrupt and the deal went off.
Though Noumena didn't find a label to release their debut, they continued with their efforts among the metal music. Forcefully the
band did another demo tape on spring 2001, which got good reviews.
The years of perseverance were finally rewarded, when on fall 2001 Australian label Catharsis Records decided to release the still
unreleased Noumena material. The result was an album called Pride/Fall, released on August 2002, which included songs from
1999 and 2001 sessions.
After a couple of still years, on January 2004, Noumena did a 4-track promo, which was a jackpot. Thanks to the promo Spikefarm
Records made a deal with the band. The band spent the next October and November in studio Sundi Coop making the album Absence, which
will be released during spring 2005.
On records and gigs the additional vocals will be sung by a long-time partner Hanna Leinonen.
With the help of the intensive new album 'Anatomy Of Life' and all the years of experience, Noumena will, with their flinty and leaden music, renew the periodic system of metal music!
Fire and Water
Noumena Lyrics

Fire bound to earth
Matter and substance forlorn in mortal word
I am immortal, I am the one
I am the soul in reign
I am the one enslaved beyond decay
Life turned to death
Crumbled the mortal order beyond life
Life bound to death
Truth bound to lie
Crumbled the mortal order, man-made lie
Fire and water
Creation and decay
A moment of chance
A moment of cause
When life is torn away
Fire and water
Symptoms without a cause
Polar to death as polar to life
Symptoms define the cause for life
Water bound to fire
Fire bound to water
Matter and substance forlorn in another
I am the wisdom, I am the cause
I am as whole in pain
I am the one enthroned beyond decay
Hope with me for this to suffocate now
It is time, it is right
It is everything
Hope with me for this to suffocate
Die, die, die
And born out of fireTytuł linku
The lyrics of Noumena's song Fire And Water depict the duality and dichotomy of life and death, creation and decay, fire and water, truth and lie, and wisdom and mortality. The words express the notion that life and death, love and hate, and joy and sorrow are all interdependent and intertwined. The singer suggests that he is immortal and the one enslaved beyond decay, but he acknowledges the inevitability of death and decay. He also implies that truth and lie are not absolute and that man-made order is destined to crumble beyond life.
The chorus "Fire and water, creation and decay, a moment of chance, a moment of cause, when life is torn away" implies that life and death are intrinsically linked and that one cannot exist without the other. The lyrics also emphasize that death is not only an end but also a beginning, as the line "And born out of fire" suggests.
Overall, the lyrics of Fire And Water are profound and introspective, prompting the listener to contemplate the fleetingness of life and the profound interconnectedness of all things.

Aveces la respuesta es la soledad, aveces el problema es la eufória, pero siempre el fuego purifica todo!
@ForsakenTank
Bands like this make me feel in a awkard mood, like its warm and content inside but when i look out the window and see the omnious clouds and the blotted out sun and the trees in the process of dying. I feel happy, that im not outside suffering in the now coming cold. I feel content in the place I live. Like I don't want to stray away from my home out in the middle of the woods. I really like the mood this music creates.
@Clairevoyante
This is so beautiful! I get the same feeling as when I listen to Insomnium, and exactly like the guy on the top comment, ForsakenTank. Serenity, joy, inner peace!
@charmcast1

@chuzzman42
So beautiful, I just want to sit back and let the music wash over me and cary me through the landscape of my mind.
@standardheadache
There's a certain fulfillment in finding great music with a commentary on the inherent destructive nature of man and then scrolling down to see a comment section not plagued by some long-running debate. In fact, BENABONZO had a great suggestion; sitting back and taking it in felt so... calm, calm with the knowledge of mortality, at peace with the fact that I will someday die.
