These lyrics from Nova's song Whitley seem to be about a lost relationship and the struggle to move on. The first line talks about the singer searching for their ex-lover in other people, suggesting that they are trying to fill the void left by this person's absence. Despite all their efforts, they cannot find what they are looking for, and it's evident in the lyric "I could never find exactly what I'm looking for."
The next line "And being on this chase has finally got me sick of it" indicates that this extended search for love and companionship has taken a toll on the singer, and they are tired of the constant pursuit. They are "new to this" way of living, meaning that this lifestyle is not something they are familiar with and they are still trying to navigate this emotional terrain.
