Rainbow
Novi Ierusalim Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We all were born
Still color-blind to friendship
Into this world
We came without a shame
Our eyes were closed
To bias preconceptions
Our hearts were open
We saw with love

And then it came
The hate and closed our hearts in darkness
And everywhere
We judged without regress
Without a care
We tore apart the rainbow
Our eyes they opened
But we could not see

When will we be
The colors of
This living rainbow
When will we see

See with love
I wanna see with love

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Novi Ierusalim's song, "Rainbow," are a poignant commentary on the state of the world today. The song begins by pointing out that we are all born without prejudice, and that we come into the world with open hearts and the ability to see with love. However, as we grow up, we become more closed-minded and intolerant of those who are different from us. This hate and intolerance send us into a state of darkness, and we judge others without a second thought, even tearing apart the very rainbow that once symbolized our diversity and unity.

The lyrics then ask when we will finally be able to see the world in all its colors and become a part of the living rainbow. The singer expresses a desire to see with love, to look past our differences and embrace the things that make us unique. Ultimately, the message of the song is one of hope and a call to action. It urges us to remember the love we once had and work towards a future where love and diversity can thrive.

@Eros Delorenzi Yes, I will and have prayed for you. A person must must also act inline with prayers, to take a step in the direction that you want to go. Just one step. This is faith. And as you grow stronger, and grow in faith, another step. As you pray, also ask God for the strength and courage to heal, physically, emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, from what drives you to such destructive behaviour. And ask for the strength to change and face what issues you may have and for God to bring people into your life that will help you.
Even Moses still had to walk through the parted waters of the Red Sea, as we also must walk in faith toward our deliverance.
May God part your Red Sea, and deliver you as you walk in faith. I pray this for you, in Jesus name, amen.
May God bless you and watch over you.
