And we'll get high and it's alright
I want to take you to the
One and only place we get high
And it's alright and it's alright
It's like I told you in the back of the school
You're on mission trying to get to the moon
The tribulations gotta you paying
For rejuvenation
For a limited time you'll be feeling
Like the rookie of the year
I like I like I go all the way
Go all the way come out and play
I want I want I want to take you there
I'll take you there I'll show you where
I want to take you to the
One and only place we get high
And it's alright and it's alright
I want to take you to the
One and only place we get high
We'll get high and it's alright
You're looking northbound
What you're feeling is southbound
In a fast lane but the traffic is
Stuck and you want your money back
Get out of business get the fuck back
In coach granted it's a different approach
Go get your passport
And I'll show you how to fly
In Nuno Bettencourt's song "High," the lyrics are about a specific place where the singer and the listener can get high and escape from reality. The overall message of the song is to find peace and happiness in life, no matter what challenges come your way. The repetition of "and it's alright" emphasizes the importance of staying positive and enjoying life.
The first verse suggests that this place is only accessible when you are high. The singer wants to take the listener to this one and only place where they can get high and forget about the world's problems. The second verse talks about being on a mission to reach a goal, and feeling panicked and lost along the way. However, the singer reassures the listener that they will feel rejuvenated and like the "rookie of the year" once they are at this specific place.
In the chorus, the singer repeats his desire to take the listener to this place, where they can get high and forget about their struggles. The lyrics suggest that the singer will show the listener where this place is and that it is the only place where they can get high and feel alright.
Overall, "High" is a song about finding a place of peace and happiness in life. The lyrics suggest that this place can only be found through getting high, and that once you reach this place, all your troubles will disappear. However, the repetition of "and it's alright" suggests that you don't necessarily need drugs to find this place, just a positive attitude.
