No Man's Land
OCAD Lyrics

Its a shame that the signs
Say the brave wont survive
Dig your grave and say goodbye
To no man's land
The winter's getting colder
And the summer's burning down our agriculture
So what are we trying to save??
Bombs, March
Bombs, March
Bombs, March
Bombs, March
Imagine it being the crack of dawn
Your ratchet drawn because of the sound of (BOMBS)
Whatever it hit it's
Got you questioning every little bit of your existence
You look for assistance, but your the resistance
You get scared sh! tless, 'cause you hear in the distance (BOMBS)
Thers no time to cry
First things first, i hope i survive (MARCH)
They told me to stand up, fight for what my country believes
But its all propaganda, so someone tell me what is the need
And if im martyred then honor my father's last night
'Cause it pains me to say
Its a shame that the signs
Say the brave wont survive
Dig your grave and say goodbye
To no man's land
Bombs, March
Bombs, March
Bombs, March
Bombs, March
Imagine you woke up with no hope 'cause
Your home was straight up blown up from (BOMBS)
How would act if, the power that had you
Just scour the atlas to devour the masses
Was now into blasting
Gun powder to trash
Their own towers to ashes with (BOMBS)
Theres no time to cry
First things first, i hope i survive (MARCH)
God i just hope this is, everything you want me to be
Cause im heartless and emotionless, im everything they wanted from me
But all i want is to be is human, but through this
Ive been reporgrammed to aim and shoot its, 'cause
They scream if we cry, but they sing when we die
Welcome to the paradise of, No Man's Land
The winter's getting colder
And the summer's burning down our agriculture
So what are we trying to save??
And as im getting older
The system corrupts me to be a soldier
So what am I trying to gain
What the F*ck are we fighting for? (What the F*ck are we fighting for?)
Well someone needs to enlighten yall (Someone needs to enlighten yall)
Priorities, have fallen we
Have lost the thing, that forces people
To pause and see that all of these little
Fortune skeems are causing things to collapse
And why the hell are we chasing something that manufactured
When the damage that cant be matched that we caused, is damage we cant come back from
Not to mention truthfully
Who are to judge through scrutiny
We built a system around human greed instead of building it around basic human needs
Plus we're fighting over resources?
Lets grow up and be adults this
Dont make no sense, outlandish or not
HELLO, this the only planet we got
And im just trying to restart the future
But yall got me feeling like Martin Luther
But i just need half you guys to see that
We got to react, 'cause i believe that
Ne day, one day, one day, one day,
I believe that, one day, one day, one day (we will be free) (repeat 2xs)
The winter's getting colder
And the summer's burning down our agriculture
So what are we trying to save?? and as im getting closer
The system corrupts me to be a soldier
So what am I trying to gain
Its a shame that the signs
Say the brave wont survive
Dig your grave and say goodbye
To no man's land
They scream if we cry
But they sing when we die
Welcome to the paradise of, No Man's Land
Bombs, March
Bombs, March

Bombs, March
Bombs, March

Overall Meaning

OCAD’s song “No Man’s Land” talks about war, destruction, and the state of the world. The lyrics criticize the authorities and the system for exploiting human emotions to justify destruction and war. The song starts by saying it's a shame that the signs suggest the brave won't survive, as if the authorities are promoting destruction as the only solution to conflict. It then talks about the effects of war on civilians and how it destroys lives and homes. The lyrics also describe the psychological impact of war on soldiers and the doubts and questions they have while fighting.

The chorus mentions “Bombs, March,” which represents the sounds of bombs falling and soldiers marching. The lyrics indicate that a soldier's life is not only about fighting but also about believing in their fatherland's values, which may be propaganda. It mentions how the system corrupts people and turns them into soldiers, who are willing to die and take the risk of killing others. It then criticizes the way humans prioritize material things instead of basic needs and how the system has been built to serve human greed rather than human needs, leading to a collapse of society.

The song ends with a hopeful note, mentioning that one day, we will be free. The lyrics suggest that it is up to individuals to realize the truth and react to it if we want to create a better future for ourselves and the planet.
