Upside Down
OFF! Lyrics

The flame in my soul has faded away.
Into blackness I fall through veils of grey.
Through a tunnel filled with mist.
I realise my life is over, I no longer exist.
Looking into the distance I see no light.
In the everdark my soul eternally hides.
Transfixed by the thought if this is my hell.
Deep down in the everynothing I fell.

Into Blackness

Confused....I realise I already went through hell
while living in an empty room....
Confused....with everything in the outside world
behind the walls where I sat staring at a dying candle.

I'm falling forever!!!!!!

Kinda eerie how much that sounds like it could've been recorded in LA in 1982.

Dimitri Coats nailed the old school guitar sound! Raw and rocking. Most modern bands that play "old school hardcore" or even bands that do reunions like negative approach just have this boring, metal-like distortion due to the use of modern amps. And Keith...the best old school hardcore singer!

raybeez55

i agree a younger guitar play but has great old school tone.....very talented

Oi Battery

He probably plays clean but fast. They sound like the Nervous Breakdown album which the guitarist in Black Flag had to play clean

croby

Yes totally agreed...secret is maxed out midrange and most important for the oldskool hardcore sound; Barchords! :)

I agree as well. They are all playing Blackstone amps it seems.Even Iggy Pop. What disappointed me on the Sex Pistols tour/reunion in '96, Steve Jones went fully Marshall with a fuckin Judas Priest distortion tone. I don't know what the point of that was, his sound straight into a Twin Reverb back in the day was pure magic.

Colin Sherritt

Agreed! Lots of good midrange bite. It breathes instead of sounding like it's sucking air.

al throughout my adolescence I really loved Keith Morris and his Circle Jerks, and OFF sound exactly like 1980s!!!
