With their unique style of psychedelic garage and a mix of R&B, Okamoto's have been likened to The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Stooges.
Okamoto's come with a message, barely 19 and they already have the fire and passion to take over the world questioning the forefathers of Rock itself. They do not simply know, but have the courage to ask Bob Dylan if in fact " The times have actually changed" and of course still maintain the punk rock mentality in asking why are they not learning about rock in school. They have the guts of fearless teenagers, scaring us one adult at a time. Live shows that make the blood curdle at the fact that they have only just graduated from high school, the old are afraid, the young are eating it up. They really are a horrifying band!
June of 2009 saw them release their debut album "Here are Okamoto's" and with over 100 live shows under their belt, Okamoto's are going to just get better and scarier with every step they take. So get on that "Rocket to Japan" because everyone is going to wanna dance with these guys

地下鉄へ逃げ込んで傘を閉じる
Well come on! Come on! I was blind, I was blind
Well come on! Come on! Now I can see, I can see
So move on!
鉄でできた電車 トンネルの壁を後ろへ追いやって
出口のない道 東京の地下を行く can you see that lights?
『"Listen to my plea"』(No no no no nah no)
『"See what I see"』(No no no no nah no)
『"Feel like I feel"』(No no no no nah no)
『"Listen to what I'm hear"』(No no no no nah no)
『"Hear what I"』
少しだけ前より自分を 好きになれそうな気がしてきたよ
地下鉄へ逃げ込んで傘を捨てる
Well come on! Come on! I was blind, I was blind
Well come on! Come on! Now I can see, I can see
ガムをかじったら鉄の味がした いつものこった
どこで眠ろうか 誰もまだ知らないとこが知りたい
わからないことを寒さの中少し 考えてみて
そしたら少しは わかりかけてみている
『"Listen to my plea"』(No no no no nah no)
『"See what I see"』(No no no no nah no)
『"Feel like I feel"』(No no no no nah no)

The song "Subway" by OKAMOTO'S is a lively and energetic rock anthem that takes place in the underground metro system of Tokyo. The lyrics describe the experience of running through the rain, seeking refuge from the storm in the subway walls. The singer ponders the direction of their life, recognizing that they have begun to appreciate themselves more than before. The song creates a sense of urgency and restlessness through the use of powerful drum beats and guitar riffs, and the repetition of the phrase "Well come on! Come on!" adds to the frenetic pace.
The lyrics also reference the sensory experience of being on a subway train – the metallic taste of gum and the sight of the lights flashing through the tunnel – and encourages the listener to empathize with the perspective of the singer. The repeated phrases of "Listen to my plea," "See what I see," "Feel it like I feel," and "Listen to what I hear" suggest a need for connection and understanding between people. Ultimately, the song leaves the listener with a sense of forward momentum, urging them to "move on" and continue towards their ambitions.
Overall, "Subway" by OKAMOTO'S is a passionate and energetic song that captures the feeling of living in a bustling metropolis and the need for connection and empathy in modern society.
