Fantasmas
OV7 Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The lyrics of OV7's song Fantasmas (Ghosts) paint a picture of a magical and mystical world where tales and fairies fly around and powders of magic float endlessly. The song is all about ghosts and goblins that dance the waltz in a mystical world. The singer describes an ethereal scene where mysterious creatures dance to haunting music played by an old violin. The chorus suggests that these creatures are not to be feared, as they only want to dance and celebrate their existence. The song reassures listeners that it's safe to join in and dance with them. The second chorus describes even more mystical occurrences, such as floating clothes and the crash of waves. The lyrics conjure up a world of pure imagination, where anything is possible.
The song itself is a catchy pop tune that features a driving beat and a memorable melody. It was released in 2000 and quickly became a hit in Mexico and other Latin American countries. The song was written by a team of songwriters, including Armando Avila, who is known for his work with many popular Latin American artists. The band OV7, formerly known as Onda Vaselina, were one of the most popular pop groups in Mexico in the 1990s and early 2000s. They are known for their energetic live performances and catchy pop songs. The lyrics to Fantasmas are a perfect example of the kind of light, fun pop music the band was known for.
