Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993 and released their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe (1994). The following year they recorded (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) with drummer Alan White, in the midst of a chart rivalry with peers Blur. Spending ten weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? was also an international chart success and became one of the best-selling albums of all time. In addition, it stands as the fifth-best-selling album in the UK and the biggest-selling album in the UK of the 1990s. The Gallagher brothers featured regularly in tabloid newspapers for their disputes and wild lifestyles. In 1996, Oasis performed two nights at Knebworth for an audience of 125,000 each time, the largest outdoor concerts in UK history at the time. In 1997, Oasis released their third album, Be Here Now. It became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history.
Oasis' popularity later declined and McGuigan and Arthurs left in 1999 as Oasis released Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000). They were replaced by former Heavy Stereo guitarist Gem Archer and former Ride guitarist Andy Bell. White departed in 2004, replaced by Zak Starkey and later Chris Sharrock. Oasis released three more studio albums, Heathen Chemistry (2002), Don't Believe the Truth (2005) and Dig Out Your Soul (2008). The group abruptly disbanded after the departure of Noel Gallagher in August 2009.
As of 2009, Oasis had sold over 70 million records worldwide. They are among the most successful acts on the UK Singles Chart and Albums Chart, with eight UK number-one singles and eight UK number-one albums. The band also achieved three platinum albums in the US. They won 17 NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and six Brit Awards, including one in 2007 for Outstanding Contribution to Music and one for the "Best Album of the Last 30 Years" for (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards.

The Heart of a Star
Oasis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
You never gonna get it on and be someone stuck in that crowd
So you call out the feelings you hope that don't never exist
But don't be ashamed of your bones and your blisters
So come on come on my brothers and sisters
'Cause you can only be what you are
And you've got the heart of a star
And I said come on come on my brothers and sisters
If you could see what I could see maybe we could all get along
And maybe I could justify the bad things in life that I've done
So I call out the feelings I know that don't ever exist
I wont be ashamed of my bones and my blisters
So come on come on my brothers and sisters.
'Cause you can only be what you are
'Cause you've got the heart the heart of a star
But the light never hits ya.
And I said come on come on my brothers and sisters...
And the slower that you go
The greener the grass grows
And what we all need is love in our lives.
So go about your business
'Cause life aint your mistress
Come on, come on my brothers and sisters
'Cause you can only be what you are
'Cause you've got the heart of a star
But the light never hits ya
So be all you can
And just hold up your hands
Someday you'll understand why life never kissed ya
And I said come on come on my brothers and sisters
Come on, come on my brothers and sisters
I said come on come on my brothers and sisters
I said come on come on my brothers and sisters
I said come on come on my brothers and sisters
The song "The Heart of a Star" by Oasis is a message of hope and encouragement to those who have not yet found their place in the world. The first two lines of the song suggest that one should not waste time thinking out loud or being stuck in a crowd. If one wants to be someone and truly stand out, they need to take action and be different.
The next two lines suggest that one should not be ashamed of their flaws and imperfections, indicated by "bones and blisters," but rather embrace and own them. The chorus emphasizes the notion that everyone has the heart of a star, but not everyone gets the chance to shine. The song encourages us to be ourselves, embrace our uniqueness, and keep moving forward, all while reminding us that we need love and self-acceptance in our lives.
The last verse of the song suggests that life is a journey and we won't always know the answers or have everything figured out. However, if we stay true to ourselves and persevere, we will eventually understand why life never kissed us. The repeated phrase "Come on, come on my brothers and sisters" is a call for unity and a reminder that we're all in this together.

Noel and all of oasis have made an unbelievable impact in my life. I would like to thank him someday for the blind hand he had reached out to me so many times before.

I love this video because it shows how happy Noel and Sarah are. And now it's 2017 and they're still crazy in love and I think it's wonderful. Every time they look at each other they have these goofy smiles on their faces. How amazing for Noel to be so madly in love and so talented and I don't really know what I'm saying except I'm happy that they're so happy. She is just lovely and she is his angel.
