Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993 and released their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe (1994). The following year they recorded (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) with drummer Alan White, in the midst of a chart rivalry with peers Blur. Spending ten weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? was also an international chart success and became one of the best-selling albums of all time. In addition, it stands as the fifth-best-selling album in the UK and the biggest-selling album in the UK of the 1990s. The Gallagher brothers featured regularly in tabloid newspapers for their disputes and wild lifestyles. In 1996, Oasis performed two nights at Knebworth for an audience of 125,000 each time, the largest outdoor concerts in UK history at the time. In 1997, Oasis released their third album, Be Here Now. It became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history.
Oasis' popularity later declined and McGuigan and Arthurs left in 1999 as Oasis released Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000). They were replaced by former Heavy Stereo guitarist Gem Archer and former Ride guitarist Andy Bell. White departed in 2004, replaced by Zak Starkey and later Chris Sharrock. Oasis released three more studio albums, Heathen Chemistry (2002), Don't Believe the Truth (2005) and Dig Out Your Soul (2008). The group abruptly disbanded after the departure of Noel Gallagher in August 2009.
As of 2009, Oasis had sold over 70 million records worldwide. They are among the most successful acts on the UK Singles Chart and Albums Chart, with eight UK number-one singles and eight UK number-one albums. The band also achieved three platinum albums in the US. They won 17 NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and six Brit Awards, including one in 2007 for Outstanding Contribution to Music and one for the "Best Album of the Last 30 Years" for (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards.

She Is Love
Oasis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And your wings begin to unfold
The thoughts you bring and the songs you sing
Are gonna keep me from the cold
And if the sword is hidden among you
And it's words may wound my soul
You can fill me up with what you got
She is love
And the ways are high and steep
She is love
And I believe her when she speaks
Love
And her ways are high and steep
She is love
And I believe, I do believe her when she speaks
You're in all my thoughts are passion
And the dreams of my delight
Whatever stirs my mortal frame
Will you keep it warm at night
I don't know where you come from
No, I haven't got a clue
All I know is I'm in love with someone who loves me too
She is love
And the ways are high and steep
She is love
And I believe her when she speaks
Love
And her ways are high and steep
She is love
And I believe, I do believe her when she speaks
She is love
And the ways are high and steep
She is love
And I believe her when she speaks
She is love
And her ways are high and steep
She is love
And I believe, I do believe her when she speaks
I do believe her when she speaks
I do believe her when she speaks
I do believe her when she speaks
The song "She Is Love" by Oasis is a love song that describes the singer's feelings towards a woman who is his source of comfort and warmth. The lyrics suggest that the woman is an embodiment of love, and she has the power to heal the singer's wounds and make him feel loved.
The first verse explains how the woman's actions, thoughts, and words inspire and comfort the singer. The sunshine is a metaphor for the woman's positivity and energy, while the wings symbolize her freedom and ability to fly away. Despite her ability to leave, she chooses to stay and comfort the singer, who may be feeling "cold" or lonely. The second half of the verse suggests that the woman has the power to hurt the singer with her words, but she instead chooses to fill him up with love.
The chorus reinforces the idea that the woman is love personified, and her ways may be challenging to follow but they are worth it. The repetition of "and I believe her when she speaks" emphasizes the singer's trust and faith in the woman.
The second verse delves deeper into the singer's feelings, stating that the woman is always in his thoughts and is the source of his passion and dreams. He also implies that the woman provides him with physical comfort, keeping him warm at night. The verse ends with the singer confessing that he doesn't know much about the woman, but he knows enough to love her.
Overall, the song portrays the woman as a beacon of love and positivity, and the singer's love for her is unwavering. The use of metaphors and repetition in the lyrics gives the song an ethereal and romantic feeling.
