Oasis signed to independent record label Creation Records in 1993 and released their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe (1994). The following year they recorded (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995) with drummer Alan White, in the midst of a chart rivalry with peers Blur. Spending ten weeks at number one on the UK Albums Chart, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? was also an international chart success and became one of the best-selling albums of all time. In addition, it stands as the fifth-best-selling album in the UK and the biggest-selling album in the UK of the 1990s. The Gallagher brothers featured regularly in tabloid newspapers for their disputes and wild lifestyles. In 1996, Oasis performed two nights at Knebworth for an audience of 125,000 each time, the largest outdoor concerts in UK history at the time. In 1997, Oasis released their third album, Be Here Now. It became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history.
Oasis' popularity later declined and McGuigan and Arthurs left in 1999 as Oasis released Standing on the Shoulder of Giants (2000). They were replaced by former Heavy Stereo guitarist Gem Archer and former Ride guitarist Andy Bell. White departed in 2004, replaced by Zak Starkey and later Chris Sharrock. Oasis released three more studio albums, Heathen Chemistry (2002), Don't Believe the Truth (2005) and Dig Out Your Soul (2008). The group abruptly disbanded after the departure of Noel Gallagher in August 2009.
As of 2009, Oasis had sold over 70 million records worldwide. They are among the most successful acts on the UK Singles Chart and Albums Chart, with eight UK number-one singles and eight UK number-one albums. The band also achieved three platinum albums in the US. They won 17 NME Awards, nine Q Awards, four MTV Europe Music Awards and six Brit Awards, including one in 2007 for Outstanding Contribution to Music and one for the "Best Album of the Last 30 Years" for (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards.

The Master Plan
Oasis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
And sail them home with acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more
And then dance if you wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't
Know how it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand
Won't make us understand
We're all part of the masterplan
Say it loud and sing it proud today
I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all the things
That come our way
'cause everything that's been has passed
The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
On life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud today
We'll dance if they wanna dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't
Know how it's gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand
Won't make you understand
We're all part of the masterplan
The song "Masterplan" by Oasis can be interpreted in many ways, but at its core, it's a song about hope, perseverance, and acceptance. The lyrics urge the listener to take the time to make sense of what they want to say and to cast their words away on the waves. The image of sailing them home on a ship of hope implies that the journey may be rough, but it's worth it because the destination is a place of peace and understanding.
The song encourages us to speak our truth out loud and proudly, to dance if we want to, and to take chances. The lines "All we know is that we don't know how it's gonna be" and "Life on the other hand won't make us understand" speak to the uncertainty and unpredictability of life, but the chorus reminds us that we are all a part of a master plan that we may not fully comprehend.
Overall, "Masterplan" is a song about embracing the journey and facing the unknown with courage and optimism.

Liam's walk is hilarious in this cartoon. What makes it so funny is that it reminds you how real it is, how someone can actually walk this way on purpose, just for attitude.
@carragh244
I agree Liam's walk is ridiculous.
@darrenlamb5640
He has the archetypal dickhead walk.
