Obrint Pas Lyrics

Dels mapes dels meus sentiments,
I en la tristesa
Del llarg camí
Senc les ferides del meu temps.
Perdut a les nits d'occident
He après a viure resistent,
I a les mans porte
Cinc continents
I al puny tancat un món sencer
I en la tristesa del llarg camí
Senc la ferides del meu temps.
I a les mans porte cinc continents
I al puny tancat un món sencer.
A voltes sóc un nàufrag més
Als oceans dels sentiments,
I entre les veles
Del meu destí
Senc la revolta del meu temps.
Solcant el mar contracorrent
He après a sentir-me insurgent,
I per bandera
Porte un estel
Onejant sobre quatre vents.
I entre les veles del meu destí
Senc la tristesa del meu temps,
I per bandera porte un estel
Onejant sobre quatre vents.
I en la tristesa del llarg camí
Senc les ferides del meu temps,
I a les mans porte cinc continents
I al puny tancat un món sencer.
The lyrics of this Obrint Pas song, "Quatre Vents," speak to the idea of being a "supervivent" or "super survivor" of one's own emotions and experiences. The singer describes feeling lost at times, like a "nàufrag" or shipwrecked person lost in the ocean of their own feelings. Through it all, the singer carries the wounds of their past experiences with them, but also carries the strength to resist and fight against adversity.
The chorus repeats the lines "I a les mans porte cinc continents / I al puny tancat un món sencer," emphasizing the idea that the singer carries the entire world within themselves, both physically and metaphorically. The final lines of the song bring the imagery of the ocean full circle, with the singer carrying an "estel," or star, as their banner fluttering in the wind, symbolizing hope and resilience in the face of hardship.
Overall, "Quatre Vents" is a powerful and poetic expression of the human experience, capturing both the pain and struggle of personal growth and the strength it takes to endure and overcome.
