Get in to my car
(Who me?)
Yes, you
Get in to my car
Oh, hey
Who's that lady coming down the road?
Who's that woman walking through my door?
What's the score?
I'll be the sun shining on you
Hey, Cinderella, step in your shoe
I'll be your non-stop lover
Get it while you can
Your non-stop miracle, I'm your man
Get outta my dreams
Get in to my car
(Get in to my car)
Get outta my dreams
Get in to the back seat, baby
Get in to my car
(Beep, beep, yeah)
Get outta my mind
(Get outta my mind)
Get in to my life
(Ooh)
Oh, I said, hey (hey), you (you)
Get in to my car
Oh-oh, baby
Lady driver, let me take the wheel
Smooth operator
Touch my bumper (bumper)
Hey, and let's make a deal
Make it real
Like a road runner
Coming after you
Just like a hero outta the blue
I'll be your non-stop lover
Get it while you can
Your non-stop miracle, I'm your man
Get outta my dreams, ooh
Get in to my car
(Get in to my car)

Get in to my car
Oh, baby, let's go
I said, open the door
(Get in the back)
Foot on the floor
(Get on the track)
Yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)
Hey (hey), hey (hey)
Let's go
Oh, baby, ooh-ooh-oh-oh-oh

"Get outta my dreams get into my car" is a 1988 song by Billy Ocean. The song is about Ocean's bordering obsession with a woman. Although Ocean doesn't know who the woman is, he is willing to offer her the lifestyle of her dreams if she agrees to get into his car. The song has been interpreted in different ways, some people hypothesize that the song is about a man who is so taken with a woman that he can't resist her, while others suggest that the song is about a guy who is desperate for some company and is inviting someone to join him in his car. Regardless of how one interprets the song, it's clear that Ocean is doing all he can to convince the woman to take him up on his offer.
The song's opening lines, "Hey (hey), you (you)/Get to my car/(Who me?)/Yes, you/Get in to my car/Oh, hey," are telling the woman to join him on a ride, and he's persistent with his request. He emphasizes it again in the chorus by singing, "Get outta my dreams, get in to my car/Get outta my dreams, get in to the backseat baby, get in to my car/Beep beep, yeah/Get out of my mind, get in to my life/Hey (hey), you (you)/Get to my car."
The line "I'll be your non-stop lover, get it while you can/Your non-stop miracle, I'm your man" is like saying he's offering to be her full-time sweetheart and also her miracle. In other words, he will do all he can to ensure that she is happy and satisfied with him in her life.

I miss that 80’s spirit. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but you can feel it in the music, television, and film of the era.
@derryk1
It was optimistic energized with electric dreams and lots of fun. People were a lot less uptight. Not to say there were no problems, we had many but for the most part. I believe people were just better at handling things at that time period.

I miss it too and you're right about the 80's spirit. It was a different time, but a great time! I hated the 70's (I graduated high school in 1974), but I loved the 80's. I think it was the best decade of my life!

@@susanstacy2493: Agree 100%. I too hated the 70s, but loved the 80s. However, compared to the times we live in now, I look back upon both decades with fond memories. Both were more hopeful times. Cheers!

How many of y'all realize that this is the music playing in that Jon Batiste Amazon Prime Day commercial?? Lol

If this song doesn't bring a huge grin to your face, you have no soul. That gigantic dominant chord in the vocals during the prechorus, fantastic.
