Lyrically, Officer Negative provides sober, catchy, poetical messages in their lyrics, all while retaining a no-holds-barred message of Christianity. O.N. keeps no bed-friends with any typical Christian denomination; instead bringing their own rational Christian approach to the lyrics they scream.
Musically, O.N. brings a very hardcore punk style to the Christian music genre. Although they play a very hardcore punk style, they often have very catchy (almost poppy) choirs**. All-in-all, their "sound" is quite contagious, and has a high replay value.
Officer negative broke up in 1999 and reunited in 2000 and again in 2004 with members of the havoc.
In 2002 Officer Negative released "the death campaign". A turn for a more dark and heavy sound compared to the previous albums. The content was far more mature and intelligent.
The band toured under officer negative but played as two different bands eventually lead to the death of officer negative again.

Officer Negative Lyrics

And put me down
Spit and cuss me
With a frown
Mocking things
Behind my back
Do we really need all that
Is that the way ils suppose to be
Where you talk of unity
Jesus Christ will set you free
The pressure is on me
For what I believe
The pressure is on me
To stand for Christ in me
Have you become
What you hate
Hard-core life
You demonstrate
Hating God with worldly cries
Where's your open-minded eyes
More punk rock than
The other one's
Your piercing tats
Are still not done
More hard-core in your scene
Hating Christians is your thing
It not hard to figure out
What we believe
So you can try
And drag us down
God's on our side
We will succeed
So what has happened here
Are you gonna live in fear
Take a stand for what is right
Me and Christ are going to fight
Don't be ashamed
You might be blamed
But share the new today
That Christ is the only way.
The song "Pressure" by Officer Negative is a commentary on the pressure Christians face from non-believers who undermine, put down, and criticize their beliefs. The opening lines of the song talk about being mocked and degraded by non-believers, who are portrayed as aggressive and uncaring towards Christianity. The song goes on to suggest that there is hypocrisy in the way non-believers operate, and that they are sometimes more extreme and narrow-minded than those they criticize. The lyrics suggest that Christians should not be ashamed of their beliefs and should stand up for what they believe in, even if it means facing ridicule and rejection.
The song is an example of the punk rock genre, and many of the lyrics include classic punk rock themes such as rebellion, counter-culture, and anti-establishment sentiments. The band Officer Negative was formed in 1994 and became known for their punk rock sound and Christian message. The group was influenced by bands such as The Clash, Black Flag, and Circle Jerks.
