Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song "Urwald" by Ohrbooten describe a person who takes a shovel and a pickaxe and starts digging on the street. They break up the concrete and find soil beneath it, in which they plant their seeds and distribute their inheritance. As they destroy everything that is tarred, from asphalt to cobblestones, new buds slowly rise from the ground and wrap around street lamps. The plants seek to climb up high and touch the stars. The singer can hear the wood growing and imagine the sun rising over a city covered by trees. They stand on a tree crown, surrounded by jungle, and hear the sound of the universe's creation. A new era is beginning, and the singer sees wild animals running through the street, creating chaos and changing the way people live.

The song represents a break from the norm and the rebirth of something new. In the first stanza, the singer is taking action, going out on the street and breaking things up. The destruction of the asphalt and the cobblestones represents the destruction of civilization and its system. From the rubble, new life begins to emerge.
