Who I Am
Ola Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
That I've made
And what I've become
When you follow your passion
You can hear
It's calling to you
Then you start on the journey
I breathe in, I breathe out
Through the changes in life
All around me so different
But I don't change inside
I breathe in, I breathe out
And I always get by
I know everything changes
But I don't change inside
Looking over my shoulder
Looking back
To where I come from
In the mirror I'm older
But deep inside
I'm still the same child
Looking back at my journey
I don't forget who I am
I breathe in, I breathe out
Through the changes in life
All around me so different
But I don't change inside
I breathe in, I breathe out
And I always get by
I know everything changes
But I don't change inside
I remember where I come from
Where I've been
I remember and I know
I can't go back
There's only now and it's for real, oh
I breathe in, I breathe out
Through the changes in life
All around me so different
But I don't change inside
I breathe in, I breathe out
And I always get by
I know everything changes
But I don't change inside

In the second verse, Ola looks back at her journey and acknowledges how far she has come. She reflects on her growth and the changes she has experienced, but remains steadfast in her beliefs and values. She refuses to let external changes alter who she is on the inside. The final verse marks a moment of realization and acceptance, as Ola acknowledges that she cannot go back to where she came from. She must embrace the present and stay true to who she is.
Overall, "Who I Am" is a testament to the power of self-discovery and staying true to oneself. Ola encourages listeners to follow their passions and embark on a journey of self-discovery, remaining true to themselves along the way.
