"Olas is a quilt. Each added square and patched tear has infused a greater richness, a true commitment to why we come together to make music and dance. We do it because it is based on love. Simple.
This newest project was created within a very poignant, at times turbulent, at times beautiful, few years. There were travels rich with hard good-byes, letters, phone calls, and joyous reunions. We studied and built new muscle memory and courage. More of us became teachers, and simultaneously students once again. One of us found love on a small island in Greece and brought a new member to our family. Other loved ones left us, a sister, a father, a mother, passing like sudden and saddening gusts, held in memory, photos, lyrics and heart. And still others, Aleta Louise and Suzanna Rose, were born. Their brother and safe-keeper, Javi Lee, turned four and can tell you the history of dinosaurs, the geography of Western China, and can keep a syncopated beat like it’s no big deal. As life goes, hearts were broken and mended stronger. Illness came, descending with deeper appreciation and a nine-o-clock prayer.
Each of these moments was shared, grieved, celebrated, because Olas is not a band of musicians and dancers, but a cooperative of threads holding together the fabric of the lives of its members, who are family. And the next generation is already learning to stomp, snap, clap, strum, and holler. For all of this and through the years, the warm words and gatherings, the wine and food we share, the practices and the collective creation of art keeps us whole and always in admiration of this beautiful and sacred quilt. VERSE
I believed in you
how could I ever not believe you
When you were all my eyes could see
And I dream of you
and in my dreams you run right to me
Bridge
I just wanna be near, to share, the care
And company of you.
Please don't leave me alone.
CHORUS
I don't want the hurtin' pain
Show me love
Saying that you're gonna change
Is not enough
Put away your silly games
Show me love
Show me that I am all you want
VERSE 2
There's nothing left to say
I have decided to release me
And in a moment I'll be gone.
Unless you find a way
Back to those days so filled with passion
I can't forgive the wrong
I just wanna be near, to share, the care
And company of you.
Please don't leave me alone.
Bridge
You don't hear, you aint been listening
all my words have lost their meaning
You best find time to do some thinking
Because we're thru until you show me just a little love...

In "Show Me Love," Olas addresses a lover who has been unfaithful and emotionally unavailable. The verses express the singer's doubts and hurt, as well as his yearning for the relationship to improve. He reminisces about the past, when the two were in love and had a deep connection, but now feels like he's "dreaming a foolish fantasy." However, despite his pain, he still craves the "care and company" of his partner and pleads for them not to leave him alone.
The chorus is a plea for genuine love and commitment, rather than empty promises and mind games. Olas is tired of being hurt and wants his partner to show him that he is the only one they want. The bridge further drives home this point, with the singer declaring that he's done with the relationship unless his partner can show him "just a little love."
Overall, "Show Me Love" is a heartfelt ballad about the pain of a failing relationship and the desire for true connection and commitment.
