He recently released his second solo album, his first album with original material. "Shakin' the Ground" showcased a more soulful and funky artist, with Ole himself stating in interviews that he's returned to his musical roots.
In between the Extol years and his current album, he has spent more time in non-metal music; his solo album "Chi-Rho" (a compilation of covers of Christian pop/rock songs) was recorded and released when he was on a break from Extol, and since leaving Extol he has been active as a session vocalist and guitarist in Oslo.
High Time
Ole Børud Lyrics

It don't matter where you at or what you done
The party's on
And you got a standing' invitation from the Son
His beat is better
It's gonna change the way you feel from top to toe
So just let go
See my Brotha's knockin' at your door
And He's telling' you to hit the floor
Well there's no more wastin' time
Let's just move to the music
Gotta groove to the music
Feelin' good ain't no crime
That's why we move to the music
It's high time to get down
I want you to know
I got a license from above to let it roll
So I mo lay it on y'all
Ain't never wrong to have a ball
Well my Brotha's got the gig of sho
Now excuse me while I hit the floor
Well there's no more wastin' time
Let's just move to the music
Gotta groove to the music
Feelin' good ain't no crime
That's why we move to the music
It's high time
I came to party yes I came to play
I came to let y'all know that He's the only way
Do you believe it?
Can I please get a witness
The lyrics to Ole Børud's song High Time are an energetic invitation to let loose and dance to the music. The song conveys a message of inclusion and positivity, as the singer declares that it doesn't matter where you're from or what you've done – everyone is welcome to join in the party. The Son mentioned in the lyrics refers to Jesus Christ, who is said to have a beat that can change the way you feel from top to toe. The singer encourages the listener to let go and enjoy themselves, promising that they will crave more of the music.
The second verse features a repetition of the invitation to party, now with the added detail that the singer has a "license from above to let it roll". The implication is that God has given him permission to have fun and spread joy through the power of music. The singer is joined by his "Brotha", who appears to be a fellow believer and music lover, as evidenced by his role in knocking at the listener's door and telling them to hit the floor.
