At aged 13, he started taking guitar and piano lessons. His inspirations were Breakdance and Hip Hop music of the early nineties.

Since passing his A-levels, he has been studying music at the Berlin Humboldt University. Occasionally he also does sound design for films for the University of Arts in Berlin.

In 2005, Oliver scored a huge hit with his track 'Der Muckenschwarm' which was signed to Sven Väth's Cocoon label, remixed by Dominik Eulberg and appeared on Pete Tong's 'Essential Selection' compilation. The track was subsequently voted Best Track in Germany's Groove Magazine's Readers Poll 2005.

Oliver also remixed Oliver Huntemann's 'Radio' for the Dance Electric label and released remixes on Secret Planet, Great Stuff and Gomma Records as Parker Frisby.

Overall Meaning

"Feeling the heat, letting go, closing my eyes, see you more," the song 'After All' by Oliver Koletzki feat. Nörd begins on a note of surrender and acceptance. The singer of the song, feeling the pressure and heat of an uncertain future, decides to let go and close their eyes, perhaps to find solace in memories of a past love, who seems to haunt the present. "I'm free from myself, free from it all, nobody's here anymore," the singer continues. The feelings of being free from everything, including themselves, could be a reaction to the pain and disappointment that they have to endure. The chorus of the song turns to a, perhaps liberating, sense of loneliness. "When the light ago out, there's no one left to call, after all, on my own again, but I don't feel sad, I fly when I should fall, after all." The lonely protagonist seems to find a newfound freedom in their solitude.

The second verse of the song continues with the same theme of solitude, loss, and acceptance. "Swimming knee deep against the flow, nothing to keep or to own, there is no truth I've been told, nobody's here anymore." The singer is now swimming against the tide, maybe trying to find their place in a new world, where everything is turned upside down. They have lost everything and everyone, and they have to start anew. The chorus comes back with more emphasis and power, as if the singer is trying to remind themselves of the newfound sense of self and freedom they have uncovered.
