Go With It
Oliver feat. Chromeo Lyrics

I wish she'd cared to see
But she only cares when she's got the time
And I fret so much about her loving
I wish she'd let me be
But our destinies got us intertwined
And is it really my fault?I get a shiver when I see her with those other guys
Wearing the jacket I bought
I can't help but lose my temper and I don't know why
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it
What is she thinking? Too much uncertainty
Why can't she give some sort of sign?
You know and I know a thing or two about loyalty
Ooh, but that girl don't pay no mind
I get a shiver when I see you with those other guys
Wearing the jacket I bought
I can't help but lose my temper and I don't know why
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, I ain't with it
I ain't with it, I ain't with it, tu tu tu tu
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
I get jealous, but I'm too cool to admit it
When the fellas talk to my girl, I ain't with it
The lyrics to Oliver feat. Chromeo's song "Go With It" portray the feeling of jealousy and possessiveness towards a partner. The singer is in love with someone who only cares about being with them when it's convenient for them. The singer gets strung up from their partner's love but wishes they would understand how much they care about them. However, their partner seems distant and uninterested in showing any signs of loyalty, which makes the singer frustrated and scared of losing them to someone else.
The song showcases the pain of being in love with someone who is not fully committed to the relationship. The singer is conflicted between wanting to trust their partner and feeling jealous and possessive when they see other men talking to their girl. They try to act cool, but deep down, their jealousy takes over them, making them feel insecure and unworthy. The singer is aware of their flaws and tries to ignore their feelings, but they can't help but feel jealous when they see their partner with other guys.
Overall, the song is about the struggle of being in a relationship with someone who is not fully invested in it while dealing with feelings of jealousy and possessiveness. It portrays the pain of trying to keep up with a relationship's uncertainty while attempting to stay cool and not show any vulnerabilities.

I feel some type of way when you sit next to me
And I'm not tryna hide it, hide it
"You can't control emotion" is what's you said to me
And I'm not gonna fight it, fight it
[Pre-Chorus: Dave 1]
Check it
I say the words and they come out wrong
I know I shouldn't've left the lights on
The night is young, make it last long
Before it ends, I'm gonna give you the best of me
I'm getting caught up in the details
A little nervous 'cause I might fail
Don't wanna deal with another L
But every time, I need to tell myself
[Chorus: Dave 1]
You gotta roll with the punches
You better go with it, just go with it
You gotta roll with the punches
You better go with it, just go with it
[?] give you the curve, you get your feelings hurt
[?] got some nerve, it ain't what you deserve
You gotta roll with the punches
You better go with it, just go with it
[Post-Chorus: Dave 1]
It's alright, and it's alright
It's alright (Go with it, go with it)
And it's alright (Go with it, go with it)
[Verse 2: Dave 1 & P-Thugg]
I'm discombobulated, you ain't checking me
But there's no point in lying, am I right? (Is that right?)
So I'll get back to you later, this ain't phasing me
Your girlfriend's more excited I decided (Oh yeah)
[Pre-Chorus: Dave 1 & P-Thugg]
Check it
I say the words and they come out wrong (Out wrong)
I know I shouldn't've left the lights on (Lights on)
The night is young, make it last long
Before it ends, I'ma be giving you the best of me
I'm getting caught up in the details
A little nervous 'cause I might fail (Oh no)
Don't wanna deal with another L
But every time, I need to tell myself
[Chorus: Dave 1]
You gotta roll with the punches
You better go with it, just go with it
You gotta roll with the punches
You better go with it, just go with it
[?] give you the curve, you get your feelings hurt
[?] got some nerve, it ain't what you deserve
You gotta roll with the punches
You better go with it, just go with it
[Post-Chorus: Dave 1]
It's alright, and it's alright
It's alright (Go with it, go with it)
And it's alright (Go with it, go with it)

These guys are still the best producers of all time from a technical standpoint. unreal mastery of music production. No one comes close, it's actually unreal to consider this fact. What kind of ears for audio production were they blessed with

@matsysmellsbetterthanyou
I love that.
I used to be the resident DJ at a spot called Boogie Nights, and as a 20 something year old bogstandard white dude, I think people expected to hear all the usual played out stuff like Don't Stop Believin, Pour Some Sugar, Hey Mickey (*vomit*) and so on. But, thanks to artists like Chromeo and Oliver, I spent my night dropping Cameo, Slave, Whispers, Maze, Rene and Angela, and all those types of tunes that clearly inspired songs like this one.
So I kinda had the inverse of your experience haha.
@DrumToTheBassWoop
Me and you would get on like a house on fire, same vibe-length. 😎

Thank you for the throwback to the 80's - this is heaven.
