Your Loss My Gain
Omar Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning | Line by Line Meaning
What you hear is not a lie, it's the truth, it's the truth.
You'll regret what was said, by the end of this song.
Bright minds come forth, not blinded by the shit,
Of all that's meaningless, but who's to blame.
Called to arms.
Gather your troops.
Be sure to strike with intent.
It would be a shame to only make a dent.
Called to arms.
Gather your troops.
We've asked for just one more chance,
But you're backed up to the edge,
You're backed up to the edge.
Open your eyes and do not fear,
Intentions are pure and words are clear.
I'm afraid to let this go, I'm afraid to let this go.
When I'm broken and I'm gone.
When I'm broken and I'm gone.
When it's all said and done I'll still be my gathers son.
All we ask for is just one more chance to make everything clear.
Open your eyes our dreams are clear.
You'll regret what was said by the end of this song.
The lyrics of "Your Loss My Gain" by Omar convey a sense of frustration and determination in the face of adversity. It seems like the speaker has gone up against someone who has said or done something hurtful to them, and now they are ready to fight back. They believe that they have the truth on their side, and that if they can get their message across, their opponent will see the error of their ways.
The first verse sets the tone for the rest of the song, with the speaker announcing that they are back for round two, and that they are just getting started. They emphasize that what they are saying is true, and that their opponent will regret their actions by the end of the song. The second verse calls for action, urging others to join in the fight and strike with intent. They don't want to just make a small impact; they want to make a real difference. The third verse is more personal, with the speaker admitting their fear of letting go and emphasizing their allegiance to their family.
Overall, the song conveys a sense of righteous anger that is tempered by a strong sense of purpose. The speaker believes that they are in the right, and that they have the power to make their opponent see the error of their ways. They are not afraid to fight, but they are also aware of the personal cost that comes with standing up for oneself.
