I used this song in my boyfriend's mother's funeral since they had put me in charge of the funeral music. I wanted to encompass the free spirit, the joy, the rebellion of his mother that everyone knew her to be, but in a way that was deeply emotionally invested. I know I cried my eyes out at her funeral, even more so that her own children... It was a complicated love/hate relationship in their family dynamics. As most of us can understand....

I looked over at her and was completely lost for words because no words can really capture moments like that. A year ago, this was the song this girl I met in college played for me when she wanted me to know how she felt about me. A relationship began, and it was the greatest 10 months of my life.
