History
In 2014, after Logan Mader had spent more than a decade away from the stage, Monte Conner of Nuclear Blast sent Australian musician Lauren Hart to him for a production deal. Once they met, Hart switched from guitars to vocals. Damien Rainaud then joined on bass with Ralph Alexander stepping in on drums. Logan chose not to recruit well known musicians, as he wanted his band to be neither a supergroup nor a side project for each of its members.
On May 26, 2015, the band released a lyric video for title track "The Life I Remember". A similar video for "Terminal" was released on July 10, 2015. Just under one month later on August 7, 2015, the band published "You Cunt", their first music video showing the band performing their song alongside a theatrical plot. It was around this time that Ralph Alexander and the ensemble parted ways, with Dillon Trollope and Skyler Howren joining the band on drums and guitar, respectively.
From late August 2015 until the end of September 2015, the band toured the southern, midwestern and southwestern United States with Fear Factory, The Bloodline and Before the Mourning. Near the beginning of the tour, their debut studio album The Life I Remember was released via earMusic. In November and December 2015, the group toured Europe with American industrial metal band Fear Factory.
In 2016, the ensemble stated via their Facebook page that they have started a second studio album. In August 2016, the band stated that they planned during the next month, to release a music video for a new song titled "Eye of Chaos". On September 13, 2016, Evolution, the title of the album, was announced along with a music video for "Eye of Chaos". The full length album is set to release on February 17, 2017.
In late September 2016, the band announced that Max Karon from heavy metal ensemble I of Tongues has joined them on guitar. In December 2017, the band indicated that they were working on a new album.
On June 30, 2021 the band announced their new album will be called Scar Weaver, which was released on February 11, 2022

Once Human Lyrics

The Dahmers of data
Scramble information and feed me a taste
Of monition, saturated waste
Holding on a broken ledge of sanity
Fighting with exploding waves of gravity
It wants to see me fall and feed me to the rocks
Now the unobserved has the mass controlled
To weave a fabric of fabrication
That coats the mind and the soul
From fated cold
Human reason interference planted seeds
Of end in the mind
Elemental unity and constructal signs
We are constant minds
So I reject the imprint
I am the code, I will restore me
Holding on a broken ledge of sanity
Fighting with exploding waves of gravity
It wants to see me fall and feed me to the rocks
But I'm drifting on the salt of my veracity
They paint this place like an empty face
An image to fill the empty space
Encrypted world of dust and light
Fight for a memory in someone's eyes
If nothing is real, why must I die
As a vision, in the illusion of life?
I sever the leads of external drives
Uncoil the filaments of my mind
I close the ports and reduce the noise
Through the interstice, at last I hear a voice
My own
All this time
I questioned the world
And all this time
It cannot reply
All my life
In search of the answer
I needed only to ask myself
Why am I here?
The lyrics of Once Human's song Gravity touches on the idea that modern society is bombarding us with information, to the point where it becomes overwhelming and we feel like we are losing control. The idealized airwaves reference how the media controls the information we receive, while the Dahmers of data refer to individuals or organizations who manipulate and distort this information. The line "Of monition, saturated waste" suggests that this constant flow of information is detrimental to our mental health and well-being.
The rest of the song talks about the struggle to maintain one's sanity in this kind of world. "Holding on a broken ledge of sanity" paints a picture of a person barely holding on, while "Exploding waves of gravity" convey the destructive force of the overwhelming amount of information. However, the song also encourages self-acceptance and self-empowerment. By "severing the leads of external drives" and asking oneself "why am I here?", one can take control of their own life and restore their sense of self.

This song is fucking killer it slays brutally from those amazing riffs, The drums were crazy as usual and the bass manage to play it's role as well. But the biggest part was Lauren's vocals I mean holy shit beyond excellent unquestioned really. Between "Gravity and "Eye of Chaos this album is gonna be a fucking force to be reckon with and looking forward to it in February.
