I am getting married on June 27th 2020. I have chosen this song as the song on which my bride to be will be walking down the aisle. She will be walking in at precisely 1:55 of the song. This is one of the most beautiful piece of music ever made and I find it so fitting for this very special moment in my life. I break down in tears simply imagining the whole thing while listening to this but I trust it will be absolutely perfect. Thank you Ennio, I wouldn’t have chosen a piece other than a piece from this absolute genius.

I'm so so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I truly feel your pain. This was also my Dad's favourite and we played this on his death bed. He died on April 6th... a few weeks ago. I'm sitting here sobbing my face off listening to it on repeat, trying to figure out how I'm going to get through the funeral and burial. My heart is just broken.

it's impossible not to be moved by this magnificent piece with the stellar Edda dell'Orso as the soloist in Ennio Morricone's superb score for his friend's, Sergio Leone's, vastly and sadly underrated film. Seeing the horror that Jill, the newly arrived mail-order bride, sees with Leone's objective camera, makes this backdrop piece all the more poitnant as it speaks to her emotional anguish. And there's always Edda. What a gem she is.

This is one of my favourite all time films, I have watched it many times throughout my 54 yrs on Earth, absolutely brilliant, the cast the music the script, the guys back then were in a different league, that’s when films were films, yes don’t get me wrong, there are good films and actors today but those days were different. I too like the desert, my dad retired from GM and moved to Tucson. Dad took my family and I to the old western towns, the best was visiting Tombstone. If your a big westerns fan I suggest going there to experience the western life. Dad was a hugh western movie fan, everytime I see movie I think of him...Miss you Dad!

Notice that this open with a baseline, somewhat foreboding, then the celeste for a complete change of mood, perhaps signifying hope. This is the mark of genius. The small attention to mood change. Bravo maestro. The theme is absolutely heartbreaking and utterly beautiful with the perfect soprano.

While Morricone composed this beautiful song, we need to remember that haunting voice melody is from the incredible Edda Dell'Orso who sang it to perfection. If you compare hers to others who sang it well, they still do not have her touch; the difference is very noticeable.

The movie was my parents’ second date event, but they walked out not liking it. Years later they got married, and this theme song was played at their wedding as they walked through the isle. My father passed away earlier this month, and his body was cremated today. Commemorating, I asked my mom about her favorite memories with dad, and this melody came up. Dear dad, may your afterlife be this beautiful and glorious as this song, I love you!

This was one of my father's favourites, we played it for him on his death bed, though he had already slipped into a coma, I know he heard it and it comforted him. Sitting here now sobbing alone, missing him so much and trying to write his eulogy..... and wondering how I'm going to make it through the funeral and burial. At least his pain is over. He fought like the bad ass super hero warrior he always was.

It reminds of my nation in its early years as it was growing in the 1800s. Now in 2023 I’m witnessing it slowly decaying and eventually collapse within. In the future it will be gone but this music will always be there forever and it’s spirit as well.
