He was learning to blend records from that time all the way through High School. After graduation, he studied Engineering under David Kennedy in Marquet Place Studios NYC, where he helped build it from the ground up, literally. Nate learned how to float floors, create a sound proof studio, basic recording, mixing and understanding a little on how to produce a track. From there he went to I.A.R an Engineering school in NYC. After graduation he started an internship at Unique Recording Studios, one of the largest studios in NYC. There Nate learned how to operate an SSL and Neve mixing board and other equipment that was commonly used in high tech studios.
After a few years of interning and working as an Assistant Engineer, there was a turning point in artists using their label budget to invest in home studios which resulted in large studios loosing money and clients. That was the turning point for him to invest in his AkAI MPC60II Drum machine/Sampler. Record shopping, chopping loops, drums and turning nothing into something was the start of Nate developing his sound. Opening himself to a buying a keyboard and taking piano lessons, was the next level to building his style as OneMan Beats.
Once OneMan Beats was confident enough he began to take meetings with labels such as Rocafella, Interscope and various other labels where they would take notice in his efforts in not having beats that sounded the same. Remixing became something he started doing to hear how his music would sound with an artist on it, which lead to him landing various mixtape slots for remixing artist like Nas, Jay-z Sean Paul and Elephant man to name a few. Fast forward till the last 5 years he began to realize it may be worth trying to focus more on bypassing the label and going straight for the artist and management themselves. By doing that OneMan Beats had such luck in handing beat cds to artist like G-Dep("Redlight") which landed a placement on an indie release.
Currently OneMan Beats is taking matters into his own hands by Working on his own Albums & Ep as the Artist/Producer presenting featured artists. These Compilation projects will show his wide range of skills in genres such as Dancehall Reggae, Hip Hop, Pop, R&B and Pop.

Unfortunately, as a longtime opiate addict, I have to confirm that drugs change our outward appearance a lot, especially if you're stuck in very long stretches. We, people under the influence of drugs, perceive ourselves completely differently and are often convinced that we behave quite simply and we also look good, hence you can often meet a drug addict with, for example, smudged makeup. This is the other side of getting high.
Lots of love ❤💜💙💚💛💜💙❤💚💛💜

the important thing is to recover ❤️

I think as bad as drugs are still addicts act more normal than I thought they did as they taught me as a kid in school.

Isn't the reason for thinking you look good when you don't depression also? Cause lots of addicts also suffer from depression. And depression causes you to not take care of your looks. And yourself overall.

You’re so right!! I’m a recovering opiate addict and meth addict. Was using for over a decade and have been clean for 4 years. When using people told me I was skinny and I thought I was in shape and they were just saying that. Looking back through what is now sober eyes I can’t believe how bad I actually looked. Addiction has so many levels of delusion.
