I Lived
OneRepublic Lyrics
Hoping you take that jump
But don't fear the fall
Hope when the water rises
You built a wall
Hoping the crowd screams out
Screaming your name
Hope if everybody runs
You choose to stay
Hope that you fall in love
And it hurts so bad
Is give it all you have
And I hope that you don't suffer
But take the pain
Hope when the moment comes you say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
With every broken bone
I swear I lived
Hope that you spend your days
But they all add up
And when that sun goes down
Hope you raise your cup
I wish that I could witness
All your joy and all your pain
But until my moment comes
I'll say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
And things that I did
With every broken bone
I swear I lived
With every broken bone
I swear I lived
With every broken bone
I swear I lived
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second
That this world could give
I saw so many places
And things that I did girl
With every broken bone
I swear I lived

The first I ever heard this song I decided to drop out of college, that wasn't my call, it never was
I decided instead to pursue my real dreams and one day conquer them.
Today has been 5 years since that time and tomorrow I am expecting to receive the biggest notice of my life so far.
I don't know what this new journey will be in my life, but I have been waiting to live my life for 23 years.
All I know is that my dreams finally came true.
I will update this message in 5 years, and I know that the next time I will be writting here, all those things that I've ever dream about, all those things that I always wish to achieve, I did it.
See you soon

Lyrics:
Hope when you take that jump
You don't fear the fall
Hope when the water rises
You built a wall
Hope when the crowd screams out
It's screaming your name
Hope if everybody runs
You choose to stay
Hope that you fall in love
And it hurts so bad
The only way you can know
You give it all you have
And I hope that you don't suffer
But take the pain
Hope when the moment comes you'll say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Hope that you spend your days
But they all add up
And when that sun goes down
Hope you raise your cup
Oh, oh
I wish that I could witness
All your joy
And all your pain
But until my moment comes, I'll say
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah, with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh, oh, whoa-oh-oh
(With every broken bone)
I swear I lived
(With every broken bone)
I swear I
I, I did it all
I, I did it all
I owned every second that this world could give
I saw so many places
The things that I did
Yeah with every broken bone
I swear I lived
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
I swear I lived
Oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
Oh, whoa-oh-oh, oh, whoa-oh-oh

I was raised with two older sisters with Cystic Fibrosis. When my oldest sisters lung functions dropped severely, she got a double lung transplant. This extended her life by two years before, in 2014, she passed away. This song was played at her funeral and I am eternally grateful to One Republic for donating so much towards CF research and for spreading awareness. Thank you, you have changed lives.
