My family dog of 14 years just passed away today. He was the most adventurous, loving, playful boy you'd ever meet! He loved going for long walks and adventuring the Wild. He also enjoyed relaxing at home by the fireplace with family. Listening to this song as I scroll through old pictures really tugs at my heartstrings as I know he lived a great life, but it was his time. He added so much meaning to our family as all good pups do. RIP Shadow. We loved you your whole life, and will miss you the rest of ours!

The song touches back into maybe Tedder’s biggest talent. Conveying true human emotion as authentically as just about anyone can. Ryan is an amazing lyricist and it’s not because he’s always making social commentaries with his songs but he knows the words that are gonna tap into your emotions and he sequences them in such an order it’s impossible not to get attached to the music. And his melodies are always just amazingly rich as well

The video for this song was filmed on Ruby Beach Washington. I had recently been there when the video came out, and was a week before I got covid. This song helped me through. Now its helping me through the loss of my cousin who was more like a sister. We were life long friends. I miss her. Life has been really hard since November last year.

I don’t think I will be able to put my feelings into words but let’s try: OneRepublic has always been there for me. They are my favorite band but that doesn’t mean I listen to them 24/7. No, there are months when I don’t listen to any song of theirs. But then, as always, comes a downhill in my life and OneRepublic helps me in ways I cannot describe. I wasn’t feeling myself lately and I had a terrible dream. I woke up crying. Went on YouTube, and this is what I found. I’m still not healed 100%, but I feel there is now a strong river in me trying it’s best to burst.
I think OneRepublic will stay with me forever.

This song brings me back to the good times where me and my friends used to go on surprise trips to somwhere we've never been.. trying out things we've never done before, seeing things for the 1st time and lots of other beautiful memories.. now i miss them so bad cause we're all many miles apart due to jobs, dreams and other reasons.
