(C'mon, c'mon)

The one that I came with, she had to go
But you look amazing
Standing alone

So c'mon, c'mon
Move a little closer now
C'mon, c'mon
Ain’t way you're walkin' out
C'mon, c'mon
Show me what you're all about

Yeah
I've been watchin' you all night
There's somethin' in your eyes
Say c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby
Yeah
The music is so loud
I wanna be yours now
So c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby

The one that I came with
Didn't know how to move
The way that you let your hair down
I can tell that you do

So c'mon, c'mon
Move a little closer now
C'mon, c'mon
Ain’t way you're walkin' out
C'mon, c'mon
Show me what you're all about

Yeah
I've been watchin' you all night
There's somethin' in your eyes
Say c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby

Yeah
The music is so loud
I wanna be yours now
So c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby

Every step I take
I'm feelin' more and more
She's callin' out
She's a lucky girl
My heart is racin'
She's turnin' around
I reach for her hand
And I say

Hey
I've been watchin' you all night
There's somethin' in your eyes
Say c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby

Yeah
The music is so loud
I wanna be yours now
So c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby

Oh, c'mon, c'mon
Oh, c'mon, c'mon

Oh, c'mon, c'mon
And dance with me baby

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "C'mon C'mon" by One Direction are about a man who comes to a club with a date, but ends up being attracted to another woman who happens to be dancing alone. He admires her from afar throughout the night and finally works up the courage to ask her to dance. The chorus is an invitation for her to join him and dance together. The lyrics convey a sense of urgency and spontaneity, encouraging the woman to live in the moment and let loose.

The singer describes the woman as confident and free-spirited, with an energy that draws him in. He contrasts her with his date who is described as uptight and unable to dance. The chorus repeats the refrain "c'mon, c'mon" as an invitation to the woman to take a chance and enjoy herself. The lyrics also describe the overwhelming energy of the club and the power of the music in creating an atmosphere of liberation and desire.

Interestingly, "C'mon C'mon" was not included on One Direction's debut album, but was later added as a bonus track on certain editions. It was written by Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub, and Carl Falk, who have all worked with One Direction throughout their career. The song has been compared to the work of bands like The Strokes and the Arctic Monkeys, who often sing about youthful rebellion and romantic urges. The title is reminiscent of rock and roll songs from the past, such as "Come On, Let's Go" by Ritchie Valens.
