Aimee Castillo (no relation to Monica) was with the group for their first album, "Just the Beginning" and left before releasing their second, "Sincerely Yours."
The five girls all began singing in church. But they got their start as a vocal group in a high school talent show, and decided to take it to the next level. They were signed by Bay Area indie label, Kamikaze Entertainment soon after.
Their debut single, "When U Think About Me", was snapped up by MCA Records. The track can be found on the MTV Films soundtrack for the movie "Jailbait." During this time with MCA, they were briefly known as Voice V.
After a short hiatus, they released their third album in 2004, "Luvin' You", on Straight Hits Entertainment, with the lead single "Poison."

The chorus of “All Alone” by One Vo1ce is about missing someone when one is alone and contemplatively thinking about the love that had brought them to their current position. Despite them being separated by distance, their love remains strong and true. The verse 1 talks about the singer's simple wants of just asking for a little piece of the partner's heart and how they had given their best. However, they never imagined that the love they shared would ever fall apart. The following lines suggest that the separation was gradual, and they fell out of touch, leaving the singer longing for the past romance they once had. The singer doesn't want to be sad anymore, but they can’t help it.
The second verse is about a wish that things could have been different if they had chosen to stay. However, the idea of asking their partner to rearrange their life for them doesn't bother them. Instead, they are glad to have let love take its natural course. Even though they knew it could not last, this experience has made the person more special to the singer. The chorus ends with the same lines, emphasizing the singer's love for their partner and how they miss them when alone.
