In 1991 Lars began a solo project called "Psychosis" and released a cassette "Death in Utero" in 1992 with Leif as guest musician/lyricist. Leif became an official band member and a second cassette "The Time Spent Dead" was completed in 1993. At about this time, a demo of Psychosis reached Decibel records of Milwaukee, WI. With a call from Decibel, plans for the first cd "Stillbirth" began and was to be released in 1995. Another band named Psychosis necessitated a name change, and the word "Oneiroid" was added. With the release of this album, Oneiroid Psychosis obtained world wide recognition. The following album "Fantasies About Illness" was released in 1997 with a tour of the mid-west and east coast including shows in Madison WI, Milwaukee WI, Columbus OH, Cleveland OH, Pittsburgh PA and New York NY. 1998 brought many changes for Decibel as well as Psychosis Laboratories and prompted a record label change. The third release "Garden of Remembrance" came out in 1999 and was released on Nilaihah records of Columbus, OH. After this release Leif and Lars finished work on the fourth album "Dreams; with pollutions when virile" and Oneiroid Psychosis signed to COP International. A record label based out of Germany and California in the US. COP International gave OP the European distribution and popularity they were looking for. Since "Dreams", COP International has released a reissue of OP's debut "Stillbirth" and their fifth full length release "Forever is Forgotten". Over their history Oneiroid Psychosis has charted all over Europe, Canada, and South America, as well as all over the US. They have also been featured and interviewed in magazines, newspapers, and radio shows from Russia, Europe, Canada, South America and the US.

The lyrics to Oneiroid Psychosis's song "Cursed" are a somber reflection on the human experience. The song begins with the word "infant", which immediately establishes a sense of vulnerability and innocence. The infant is "emerging" into the world, and has no reason to cry, yet it does so anyways. This is likely a commentary on the fact that life is full of suffering, even from the very beginning. The lines "People/Believing/Trying/Fighting/for no reason" suggest a society that is struggling to find purpose and meaning. People are engaging in activities without any real justification or understanding of why they're doing them. The final lines, "Humans/Learning/Living/Dying/for no reason", further emphasize the lack of meaning in life, as people go through their entire existence without any clear purpose.
Overall, the lyrics to "Cursed" paint a bleak picture of the human experience, one in which we are all subject to suffering and meaninglessness. It's a philosophical reflection on the nature of existence, and a reminder that life can often be a struggle.
