Only Crime plays a style of melodic but hard-hitting punk rock that borrows heavily from early-1980s hardcore bands. They have released two records: To the Nines (2004) and Virulence (2007).
In early 2007, Zach Blair became the new guitarist for Rise Against, replacing the recently departed Chris Chasse.
Fallen Idols
Only Crime Lyrics

And today I know it's true
Some dreams can't help but die
Pinned to those that we looked up to
What about our children
And who'll pray for tomorrow's gods
And the pain and wisdom gained
And the fallen idols
To me they're still the same
And I pray they rest forever
But the new revival
Of the skeletal remains
Paints a dark and caustic future
Burned out like a dying sun
On alcohol and cheap romance
Where the junkies and the suicides
Believed inside they had a chance
We're the kids in the shadows
Just beyond society's eyes
Restless and pure of heart
They don't understand so they despise
Hey troubadour we're waiting for you
Will your words bring redemption for the times?
For all the faded reputations
The poets, the sinner and their crimes
The song Fallen Idols by Only Crime paints a bleak picture of society and its values. The lyrics reflect a sentiment that is common to many today; our ideals and the people we look up to are flawed and often fall short of our expectations. The verses describe how some dreams are destined to die and how our faith in those we idolize can be misplaced. The lyrics suggest that we need to look beyond our past heroes and find new ones to lead us into the future.
