Simple
Ontz Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Outdoors
Shaking it off
Snow
Wrapping it all up

We used to keep it real
Then the layers added
With the turning of the wheel

Should've kept it
Should've kept it simple

You tangled up in
me tangled up you
Want it all to be so simple

In hundred years
It's all gonna be
Black or white
It's on or it's off

We used to be so bold
Then the luster left us
Let the shadiness unfold

Should've kept it
Should've kept it simple

Me tangled up in
You tangled up in
Me though it all could be so simple

Truth tangled up in
We're tangled up in
High hops as we're both are tight rope walking
It could all be simple
So simple
Want it all to be
So simple

Should've kept it
Should've kept it simple

Overall Meaning

In the song "Simple" by Ontz, the lyrics reflect on a past relationship that has become complicated and lost its initial simplicity. The first verse talks about being outdoors, shaking off the snow, and wrapping things up, which may represent trying to move on and let go of the complications. The chorus emphasizes the importance of keeping things simple and not letting them become too complex. The second verse suggests that the relationship once had a sense of boldness and shine, but over time, it lost its luster and became shady. The bridge touches on the idea that in a hundred years, things will be simplified, and the complexity of life right now will be reduced.

Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of regret for overcomplicating a relationship that was once simple and straightforward. The desire for simplicity is highlighted throughout, as if the singer longs to simplify everything and return to the way things used to be. However, the truth is tangled up in the relationship, and both parties have become tightrope walkers trying to keep balance. The refrain of "Should've kept it simple" ties everything together, emphasizing the importance of not overcomplicating things that were once uncomplicated and straightforward.

So can you store extra guests in it? Is that a storage purpose?

@BunkieLife

What you store is up to you and your local mafia, I mean authorities.

Can I store my laptop and work desk when I’m not using it?
Any thoughts on a small sealed wood stove for winter time “storage”

Wife and i lLaughing. Looking at them for same reason.

@djpaz75

Was the "for storage purposes only" rule existing before this change? This seems like a change specifically against the (separate) tiny home and short term accommodation movements?

@BunkieLife

This is in addition to the existing (and still existing) rule where anything under 10m2 didn't require a permit.

@snivvelslurderagementai2560

sucks that it can only be used for "storage", and not living purposes.
I'd build a damn mini house in there if it was allowed.
if I'm going to build a shed that size and for the price of lumber these days, I rather just pay more and build an addition to the house.
but yeah, it's great news for people that just want to store things or for those that can risk it for other purposes if they know nosy neighbors won't complain.

Bunkie is maximum 108 sq. ft. Storage shed is 160 sq. ft max.
