My World
Onyeka Onwenu Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You work so hard
And you played the part
A little love is all you ask
And the day will come
When you'll have the chance
Don't loose yourself to some one you love

All that you ask for
Is not a diamond ring
But just a chance to say eh eh eh

It's my world my world
You can share with me
My world my world
And you can share it

For love you dream
To find content
But whose to blame
When lover's pretend
Let's make this friendship
All we can
Keep a hold on
What we have today together

All that we ask for
Is not a diamond ring
But just a chance to say eh eh eh eh eh eh ehe he

It's my world my world
You can share with me yeah
My world my my my my world my world
And you can share it now

Ha ha ha ha ha ha

It's my world my world
You can share with me
My world my world
And you can share it

Your magical love hmm hmm hmm oh no
I just wanna give you my love my love

My world my world hmm hmm hmm

I'm gonna make this promise
Gonna let you be yourself inside my world

I'm gonna make this promise
Gonna let you be yourself inside my world

I'm gonna make this promise
I'm gonna let you be yourself inside my world

My love

I'm gonna make this promise
I'm gonna let you be yourself inside my world

@itsjemmabond

I can still remember when her former backing singer Mike Okri sang this song with her on Who's On? when she was presenting the show. I wonder what happened to Ray Simpson, the guy singing on this version?

@silentbbii

gosh....

@Tubeman1150

Such a highly talented woman. I keep wondering why she never got married

@streathamsoprano8025

+Emmanuel Okeke Actually, she is married, but her husband stays out of the limelight.

@Tubeman1150

Married to who? Has he got a name? How come they don't live under the same roof? Answer me Streatham Soprano since you claim to know much about her.

@streathamsoprano8025

Emmanuel Okeke
Dude, I never claimed to know so much about her, although I was a fan back in the day when I lived in Naija. Her husband's name is Kola Ogunlende, but people don't believe they are actually a couple because she refuses to talk about him in interviews despite being with him for years, and to be honest I don't blame her. @Tubeman1150

Interesting indeed and thanks for this info. Never knew she ever got married. Best known to her why she is isn't currently. May be they just couldn't get along. Shit happens.
