Her father David Alexander Winter, was a Jewish Dutch pop singer during the 1970s, while her mother was a French fashion model, who is now currently her agent.
Winter moved to the United States to be close to her father after her parents divorced when she was just 2 years old. It was in the United States that Winter studied dance, singing, music, and comedy. At the age of 17, she left for Paris where she lived with her mother and brother. It was here she was discovered by a modeling agent on the Champs-Élysées, and after three years of modeling, she decided to become a singer and an actress, although she first became a television presenter on the M6 channel.
Her desire to become a singer began when after a friend of her father's, who was also a singer, was looking for a young female to join him in a duet. Winter accepted and began recording. She now has released three albums: No Soucy!, which her brother collaborated on, Privacy, and Explicit Lyrics.

Don't stop, keep moving
In the sweat shop
In the sweat shop
Don't stop, keep moving
Don't stop, keep moving
In the sweat shop
In the sweat shop
Amma make you work
So wipe off your sweat
And do it over
Gotta get a little dirty
Ooh ! Oui !
Your grinding so amazing
Have you working for days
And you don't get any brakes, brakes
Yeah ! Right you know it ain't over
Now finish you work
Cause you can sweat all nite till it's over
Kept it up, you jerk it, jerk it
Like it's toxic out the box
Don't punch the clock just keep it rocking
Hun, Just keep it rocking

The lyrics to Ophélie Winter's song "Sweat Shop" convey a message of perseverance and determination, particularly in the face of challenging or demanding work conditions. The repeated phrases "Don't stop, keep moving" and "In the sweat shop" emphasize the need to push through and continue working, despite the hardships. The song seemingly addresses individuals who are employed in a factory or a physically demanding job, where they are expected to work long hours without breaks.
The lines "Get up your shift, it ain't over" and "Amma make you work, So wipe off your sweat and do it over" indicate that the work is ongoing and the individual is encouraged to keep going, even when they may feel tired or overwhelmed. The singer acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the individual she is addressing, describing their efforts as "grinding so amazing" and stating that they "don't get any brakes." The repetition of the phrase "Keep it up, you jerk it, jerk it" suggests that the work is intense and requires constant movement and effort.
