Her father David Alexander Winter, was a Jewish Dutch pop singer during the 1970s, while her mother was a French fashion model, who is now currently her agent.
Winter moved to the United States to be close to her father after her parents divorced when she was just 2 years old. It was in the United States that Winter studied dance, singing, music, and comedy. At the age of 17, she left for Paris where she lived with her mother and brother. It was here she was discovered by a modeling agent on the Champs-Élysées, and after three years of modeling, she decided to become a singer and an actress, although she first became a television presenter on the M6 channel.
Her desire to become a singer began when after a friend of her father's, who was also a singer, was looking for a young female to join him in a duet. Winter accepted and began recording. She now has released three albums: No Soucy!, which her brother collaborated on, Privacy, and Explicit Lyrics.

Utopia
Ophélie Winter Lyrics
You know how to start
You know how to end
You open your heart
And never pretend
Protect what we've got
And turn it to gold
We live for we've learned
And never grow cold
We live for each moment
And cherish each day
For people who hurt us
And just walk away
And never lose faith
When the road is gone
We'll keep moving on
No tears and no fear
This is my utopia
No war and no hate
Am I dreaming
No hunger and no pain
This is my utopia
We could be live as one
We could each do our part
Am I dreaming and dreaming and dreaming
Am I dreaming and dreaming and dreaming
We'll take what we need
Life isn't a test
And help those who bleed
And live in a rest
To try to be helpful
To look like our friends
And always be withing
Always give your hands
To wake every morning
To learn from the past
Best things can happen
But they never last
Life is a blessing
A gift from above
So live it with love
No tears and no fear
This is my utopia
No war and no hate
Am I dreaming
No hunger and no pain
This is my utopia
We could be live as one
We could each do our part
Am I dreaming and dreaming and dreaming
Am I dreaming and dreaming and dreaming
All is full of love
Sent from up above
All is full of love
Sent from up above
No tears and no fear
This is my utopia
No war and no hate
Am I dreaming
No hunger and no pain
This is my utopia
We could be live as one
We could each do our part
