Orbit is an alternative rock band from Massachusetts active during the 1990s and early 2000s and headed by Jeff Robbins. The group began playing shows on the East Coast, building enough of a buzz to attract the attention of A&M Records, who released their 1997 debut LP Libido Speedway. The album spawned the single "Medicine," which received modest radio and video play. The band toured the festival circuit nationally but eventually were dropped by A&M. They formed their own independent record label, Lunch Records, and released their sophomore record xlr8r in 2001 but went on hiatus shortly thereafter. They most recently performed on November 22, 2023 at Brighton Music Hall in Allston.
