Leave your sheep at rest,
The shepherds were urged to leave behind their responsibility of watching over the sheep and go to Bethlehem to see the newborn King.

Journey forth to Bethlehem,
The shepherds were instructed to make a trip to Bethlehem, where they would find the baby.

Find the baby blest.
The shepherds were advised to look for the blessed child and pay homage to him.

Sing we Noel, the King is born, Noel!
We should sing loudly and joyfully, announcing the birth of the King, the reason for our celebrations.

In Bethlehem, they found him
The shepherds successfully located the blessed child in Bethlehem, just as the angels had promised.

Joseph and Mary mild,
Jesus' earthly parents, Joseph and Mary were calm and gentle as they watched over their newborn son.

Seated by the manger,
The manger, or feeding trough for animals, was the place where the newborn King lay, and where Joseph and Mary quietly sat nearby.

Watching the holy child.
Joseph and Mary carefully observed their special and miraculous baby, who was the Son of God.

From the eastern kingdom
The wise men, or Magi, came from the East, perhaps from Persia, to pay tribute to the newborn King.

Came the kings afar,
The Magi traveled a long distance to follow the star and find the baby King, demonstrating dedication and reverence for the Christ Child.

Bearing gifts to Bethlehem
The wise men brought valuable and symbolic gifts to worship the newborn King in Bethlehem.

Guided by a star
A bright and shining star shined a trail and led the wise men to their destination where the Son of God was born.

Noel, Noel, Noel
All voices should lift up the word 'Noel' in unison, to express the infinite joy and gladness brought by the coming of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
